Questions
I found an error in that with my income sharing with my wife it didn't automatically reduce my income. I had to call and ask what to do and had to enter it myself even though I used easy step ?

User friendly - easy to use
I been using Turbo Tax to file my taxes for the past 20 years. This program is user friendly and guides me throughout the whole process to completion, then to Netfile. That is why Turbo tax does my taxes every year. However, the cost of this program been going up every year. I feel that the initial cost of this program should be depend upon the person's income and the number of taxes filed.
Am single, been a single user for many years, why should I have to pay full cost to file just one ?
This is the best tax program to use but it also depends on the cost.

Turbo Tax Opinion
The program works well but has a few sections where it is not obvious how to return to the screen you were on after entering data on a detailed schedule. Otherwise it is reliable.

Great overall
Turbotax is easy to use and require good verification such as SIN and have to rigorous screening. Very little steps require to use the software.

Downloadis better than online version. Would like to be able to once again print off the 4 page return for quick revew instead of the multiple pages that now churn out.

Netfile is complicated
The net-file part of the return is complicated. Please make it simpler, after warnings, there should be only (2) options (A) mail-in copy of return or (B) net-file. This year is the second time my return has had to be Net-filed twice, because the first time I did it wrong.

Claiming Disability for Self Issue
I claim Disability for Self every year. The software I used, Turbotax Basic, did not ask me appropriate question to populate the Federal and than Provincial Disability for Self. I could not Netfile if I used an override. I had to tel. Technical Support to resolve the problem (excellent).

Valued purchase
I have been using this product for many many years, under a couple of different product names. I haven't had problems till this tax year (2021). I had issues entering the amount spent on hand tools for my grandson's return. The Turbo Tax system didn't pair up with the information I got on line from Revenue Canada. AND. I have a Disability Tax Credit. I didn't want to claim it. I wanted to pass it on to my caregiver to use on her return.... not doable on this product. Much work to then send letters to fix both situations and ask CRA to make the proper adjustments ON THREE RETURNS! NOT HAPPY THIS YEAR!

Great product easy to use
Have used TurboTax for many years and find it very easy to use. Had to use it this year to file for a person who died in 2021. TurboTax asked for the death date and I filled it in, but it wasn't on the printed copy of the return. They also advised that these returns "had to be printed and mailed in" but this is not true. You can have CRA appoint you as a representative and file electronically. Hoping never to need this feature again, but wanted to point it out in case anyone else needs it. Overall an excellent product and great value for the money.

Preferred standard

Needs a couple of fixes
While this is the basic form, there are 2 things that should be included, pension splitting and transfer of tuition from a non dependent. Had to manually do the pension splitting, in particular.

Turbo Tax life saver
In my low income bracket and as a senior, it was a hard choice to spend $50 on getting a review or just taking a chance that my return had all the deductions I needed or had. I might have missed something, but would it be worth $50 to change or add this?
