Satisfied
I have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years and every year it becomes more user friendly. My taxes are not that complicated so I am comfortable with using it....very satisfied.

Always use Turbo Tax
I've been ;using this Tax software for years and years in its various iterations. I trust it implicitly. It's user friendly in all aspects and I would recommend it to others for family use.

NETFILE is not working
It seems tp calculate the tax but NETFILE does not seem to work. It is not even possible to tell what is wrong. I will have to call support. This may be a bug that needs to be fixed. It is not good this year but my experience over the years was good. The bug needs to be fixed.

Not friendly for expats
I am an expat and the taxslips have different designations. Taxes are withheld at source, which is indicated on the slips. It often is very difficult to figure out which slip it is and where to place them in turbo tax.

It is not intuitive on how you can change view settings for better contrast for people with visual challenges. A lot of wite text on light backgrunds which isn't great for vision chalenged idivivduals.

2020 Tax
1. Very hard to switch back & forth , doing own
tax & spouse tax.
2. Turbo Tax does not have a list of "forms" at the side to navigate easily, switching to different forms.
3. Other than those, Turbo Tax was easy to use.

2020 taxing jobs
I have used Turbotax for several years. I find the ability to use Easy Step as well as Forms means that I can "Easy" into the job as well as fill the data in efficiently with Forms.

Not Impressed
Not sure why TurboTax has such lousy screen resolution on screen. I can barely read the small font size, no matter how my laptop is set. I may not use TurboTax in future years if I can't read the screen. Also, I would prefer doing my taxes on my much newer Android tablet, but your app doesn't even load without errors on new Samsung tablet.

It's an ok product that I used for few years
It's good to see it's improving and fixing it's errors each year, but still need to be more detailed, such as, please put a NO for selection beside the Residency Information, not putting a 2 beside it to confuse the 1st time user...

One single flaw
Unable to verify my personal spreadsheet as schedule 3 only prints one page. Nice to have 500 pages for form T5008. Connection to CRA works great. Easy to enter data for T3 and T5 and T5008.

First program I bought, it wouldn't install for me. Second program I got, it told me there was already a tax return used on it. It was a sealed package. Not impressed with the hassle.

Well worth it; sometime(s) not enough guidance
Only complaint: I didn't understand the carryback of previous years' capital losses. It's fairly easy to miss - having said that, I should have clued in that your net bill/refund doesn't go more positive after you've entered Schedule 3 and you have net loss for the year. Long story short: I think a pop-up reminding me about what I can do with losses, would have been nice. Probably a feature that the more expensive version(s) has(have)
Otherwise, great product. Especially now with the improvements with importing your slips from MyAccount.

Good for the value
It does the job however, one need to be careful to review the benefits and tax credits forms as the program does not automatically select them even if the person profile makes them eligible for these benefits.

Beginnings
I found the general use of platform was comfortable. There were several times I was left queries that were only answered be detailed analysis of the forms in use.
Split pension form T1032 was was not filled in the way I would have done if I used paper.

Does the job
I like using Turbo Tax and actually bought a new laptop rather than trying another product. It cannot be used on a Chromebook or a MacBook. So I got another one with Windows 10

Turbo Tax is a good program. But the only downfall with the Basic is it is not very clear. So I can see people making a lot of mistakes.
Most people cant afford the Standard which is the better of the two.

Things keep changing
I know the world is changing, but I'm a man needing stability. This year the step by step process somehow didn't give me the Pension Splitting option? - I was able to go in and manually add it, but either I missed the option, or it is missing from the Basic Turbo-tax?
