Turbotax Basic
For years I have been buying Turbotax Standard. This year, because I no longer have investment income, I bought Turbotax Basic. Surprise! It seems the basic version would have handled any investments I had, and I would have saved $15!
Other than that, Turbotax is smooth and easy to use, as always. (Been a user since it was named Quicktax.) I tried a couple of other tax programs, and found Turbotax easier to use. But maybe I'm just so familiar with it? :)

Good software with some defects
Overall, it is a good software and easy of use. I have been using it for many years. However, there is a very annoying bug in T1135 form. It keeps saying that there is an error and I must select A or B for detail reporting. Of course, I clicked on B and fill all necessary fields. This problem exists since many years as well.

1st error in 15+ year
I live in Alberta and it says in the Summary that I have a refund that it is only for Saskatchewan, Manitoba, etc. But the calculations are correct.

Simle and budget friendly
First year doing my family taxes and I decided to go with Turbo Tax because we had more than one t4 and I didnt want to spend alot having H And R do them when it seems so simple and straight forward. It was fairly straight forward and if i had any questions customer service was very helpful. Just wish the customer service was open extended hours.

Simply the best
I think Turbo Tax Basic is one of the easiest tax packages I have used. I would like to suggest that there be perhaps more access or links to both the federal and provincial tax guides for quick look-ups and clarification. Otherwise very satisfied with this program.

Turbo Tax Basic-helps make tax time easier
I have enjoyed using Turbo Tax for 4 years now. It is easy to follow overall. However I would like to more easily open up pages just to see what they are, such as clicking on highlighted words to read what they are about. And, if they do not pertain to my income taxes, i.e. I have not filled in any amounts, then no warnings appear in the review section requiring me to either select that it pertains to me (and go back and fix it) or ignore it. I find this creates some confusion in an otherwise easy format.

Good Enough
The GUI is underwhelming with the BASIC version. You get stuck having to type directly into forms. It shouldn't ever be like this. Stop being greedy Intuit!! Update the BASIC version to include the nicer GUI used in STANDARD and LIVE.
