Glad it's done
Have been using TurboTax for several years. Not an avid computer user, so I depend on a straight-forward experience. Appreciate improvements being made each year but get easily side-tracked. If a respectable number of users are new or senior (not too computer savy), could revisions be tested using some of them as "test pilots" to expose rough patches. Very happy with product but get frustrated navigating approaches and exits.

Good Value
Value is there for what I need. I only had one small issue: inputting the "Ontario Healthy Home Deduction" and finding a helpful answer for it.
I simply recorded it as a medical expense, but the Ontario Benefits said there was a spot for this expense on the Ontario pink forms, but I could not find?

Nice Software
Seems very clear and easy to use. I'm no tax expert so easy and clear is important. Like doing both returns at the same time. We have very simple returns and this software worked well. I'll buy it again.

Very good for a first time user
Considering this is the first time I am doing taxes on my own, the software was fairly easy to use provided you have all the necessary forms and understanding of the questions asked. It even suggest if you are using the wrong version for filing. I would certainly use this again.

Works easy enough . Can be a little confusing if you have certain deductions suchas rrsps when suggests upgrade to standard you may not realize can still use basic by hitting continue.

Website not clear about having to set up an Account before using the and configuring access key number.
Would have been very helpful if there was a notification at the beginning of the process you cannot file on line until Feb. 26.
How and where to save the file needs to be more clear.

Turbo filing
I've used the Basic TurboTax for My daughter and I for the last few years with a standard T4 (1 or a few). It has been the easiest way I have ever had to file. In addition, My daughter who just turned 21 has learned and used the turbotax herself for the last few years on her own. So it has been a great and easy tool for our young children to use and learn the importance of filing.

Overall performance of Turbotax

Helpful, inexpensive product
I always do my taxes "by hand", but invest the ridiculously small amount it costs to buy Turbo Tax Basic to do it "officially" and neatly for myself and my husband. I like that it automatically checks my math.

Auto-Fill Needs Help!
I used the Auto-Fill option and ended up with about 5 times my annual income and then had to delete about 30 T5008 amounts MANUALLY! More work than entering the appropriate tax slips individually. It appears as though all trades get reported even though they occur inside a RRIF or RRSP and aren't actually income. Until this is fixed do NOT use Auto-Fill!
