Birth date format is very confusing and that is why my first 3 trials to net file with Revenue Canada failed. eg dd/mo/yyyy. The software did not help me by telling me I had that wrong as I had typed mo/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mo/yyyy as required in my profile in the easy step. that was a genuine mistake I made. Naturally Revenue Canada won't accept my efile as their system is set up to identify me with by birth date as per their records. Turbo tax should change that format as per Revenue Canada format which is mo/dd/yyyy and not dd/mo/yyyy. This is very important when efiling with Revenue Canada.

Data entry process gaddered ?
I have been using Turbo Tax for 3 years now and found the 2014 version not as user friendly as the previous years. Entering data seemed to be scattered about.

Improvment to make
Each I have to search where to enter pensions from out of the country but paid in Canadian funds. Perhaps a line could be modified?
the beauty of the program is all calculations are made for you; this save a lot of time and avoid errors.

constantly asking for $
if you want to imprt last years info (from your Intuit file), you have to upgrade.
every step has another area where it asks you to upgrade or for additional servcies.
the layout has changed completely over last year -- why change a good thing?

good but could be better
its quick and easy, but could be made easier. The boxes that TurboTax is sold in need to be more descriptive in what they offer. This year for example I chose the basic edition because I thought that student information would be covered but that needed an upgrade and since I cant return it I just didnt enter my student info in because I didn't want to pay the extra amount. So I have to carry it forward to next year. The box didnt say that it would cover student stuff so i'll take partial blame but I think student info should be covered under the basic TurboTax because people out of school dont have a lot of money, and most students would be using it. Also if I want to buy the standard edition I would have 8 returns. I dont need 8 returns. Why isn't a 4 pack of standard TurboTax offered? or a 2 pack for $10-$15? I feel like I would be wasting 6 returns as its only me and my girlfriend. The edition that includes student forms should bluntly say so.

FOR A SIMPLE TAX RETURN THIS PRODUCT WORKS WELL. BEST TO CLARIFY THAT FOREIGN EARNINGS SHOULD BE STATED IN THE FOREIGN COUNTRY. THE PROGRAM AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST ACCORDING TO THE EXCHANGE RATE.

For the most part the tax form were easy to fill out and Submit even for an old guy. all you have to do is have all the papers at hand and start entering. then follow through with the easy to follow directions.

Great Tax Software!
This was my first year using TurboTax software & NETFILE and overall I was impressed with how simplified the process was. No more having to get my taxes done by other people/accountants! :-)
*There were several UI 'bugs' that I encountered, but they were minor and easily worked around.
I would definitely recommend TurboTax to anyone, now that I've used it!

best purchase ever
Very helpful, quite easy to follow and understand.
Only one problem, my file was EFILED before I caught an error on Public Transit - the charge was supposed to go on my wife's return and not my own ???
It is now done, what do I do ???
Noticed it only when I printed my copy.
