Symantec Anti Virus
One small issue, Netfile was greyed-out. From help tips, discovered update MUST be downloaded.
Symantec Anti Virus kept finding a virus in the update, although it looked like it completed.
Finally shut SAV real-time protection off (don't like to do), re-downloaded update, then was asked to reboot, and could successfully Netfile.
Only a month late - oh well, nothing owing.

Taxes without pain
My only problem was in determining what to enter for my husband, who has no income but receives a disability pension. It wasn't clear what I should enter for his income.

Fairly easy

netfile
I tried to netfile and pay by credit card. Filled out the necessary info to Plastiq but my netfile did not go through. Revenue Canada has bot received it so I don't know where it is. How can I resend my files to Revenue Canada?
Netfile should be more user friendly.

Great Value for What You Get
I like that I can buy the Basic Version which has ALL the forms. Good for my complicated taxes. I've been using Turbo Tax for 5 years now and I'll keep using it.

Fairly easy to use and the filing process was fast although with a few minor issues.
-The walkthough version sometimes asked some tasks twice such as saving/printing a pdf document
-the option to automatically connect to Netfile should have been included in the walkthrough version once necessary data had been enterd (alternativly, the "Neftile Return" button needs to be bigger / more noticable)

Would like areas of investments & RRSP contributions a little more easy to use. Couldn't find were to put contributions made and carried forward from previous years. Carrying charges from investments was a little cumbersome

First-time User
I have had my income taxes prepared by a professional for as long as I can remember! This year life got busy & I wasn't ready in-time to take my paperwork to my accountant, so I purchased TurboTax (basic) and prepared my (and my 3 children's) income tax returns in an afternoon! Simple & Affordable! Should have done it years ago, would have saved myself time & money! I will be preparing our taxes going forward! Thank-you for a wonderful easy product! Well Done!

First Time User
I was a little hesitant to use, as I have always done the old paper and pencil method, but it was surprising easy and very fast. The option to file spouse forms at the same time is awesome. Will definitely do again next year!

Good send
I especially enjoyed the ease with which I could send our returns to the Income Tax people. All it took was reading the Government specifications then just a couple of clicks and it was sent.......over and done with.
Also going with the interview way was super easy, just click on the forms and fill in the appropriate boxes. This program also automatically did the Provincial form.

1. You should make preview of forms to be printed easy when you prompt what forms should be printed. I check marked one box and I got so many sheets of useless forms with no data. What of waste of papers!
2. I entered tution loan interest paid. As there was no tax owed, those figures I input were not even shown on any form, esp "Forward" form, which should be automatically generated for future or succeeding year returns. So I don't understand why my figures should just disappear after I input them.

fast and easy
we purchase turbo tax every year for 5 years now. It has been worthwhile and very simple. The cost is cheap compared to other options, and they aren't reliable at all. We will continue to use turbo tax.

Used Turbo Tax for many years. This years was the most confusing yet. it tells you to do something, you go there and see you do not have to fill in anything, however there is no back button to go back. You have to use tabs to the previous one and go through that section all again.

Carry over info
I would like to see on the carry over of personal information from one year to another on the basic version of Turbo Tax. I've used this product for 10 or more years and having to add this info every year is a pain.

Very easy to use

Basic review
I have 2 primary issues with TT.
1. In order to pull in the information from a previous year's file I have to upgrade. The cost of the upgrade is approximately 70% increase over the original price. Ensuring that I can pull in previous information is a competitive advantage and it is WHY I have stayed with TT for the past numerous years. Without that ability I might as well shop around.
2. I don't like the fact that it requires MS Explorer to access the Internet. I never use that browser and have not allowed it access through my firewall. I had to permit access for this use. It should just use my default browser.

Could be better
ive been using turbo tax for the last few years, although im not sure what it was but this year I had trouble with some of the forms. Then there was the netfile error with the heartblood virus or whatever it was... hopefully next year it will be back to normal. Its better than spending money on getting someone else to do it for me.
