NOT BEST PURCHASE EVER
LESS FRIENDLY THAN PREVIOUSLY IN T5HAT IT DOES NOT UPDATE PRIOR YEAR IN THE BASIC FORM.
I COULD NOT LOCATE A PLACE FOR FOREIGN DIVIDEND INCOME EVEN THOU IT IS UNDER $100.00.

Time Saver
TurboTax sure beats doing taxes with paper and pencil, but if you know what you're doing, don't spend more money to get anything other than the "Basic" version. All that the other versions give you is more of their cryptic useless help. The "Basic" version has all the forms.
A bit of a glitch with line 253 (apply capital loss from previous year). You can enter any number you want here. Turbotax should not allow this to be more than your current year capital gains.

Customer Service
I have been using TurboTax for " umpteen years ". As a matter of fact it's the only one I've ever used since filing on-line. That should say something about the product.
It's not only the product. Whenever I've had to contact Customer Service, which is very rare, I've been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Not once was there a hint of anger or frustration from any of the agents I have dealt with.

Overall good buy, but I still prefer Standard
This is my first year to use Basic Edition of TurboTax. It was very easy to go through and fill in your info. I had no issues or problems getting my taxes finished and Netfiled. Thankyou TurboTax for another great year for filing my taxes.

Product Reg. defaults to e-notices
In order to register product, the default is to receive emailings/notices. To opt-out requires a fax or letter! I would expect electronic option to accept/not-accept. I really dislike this "feature" and will look for an alternate package next year.

Easier than ever
It was not as complicated as I anticipated and am glad that I chose to file on line. The cost to purchase the TurboTax is quite low and in my opinion, worth the money and time that it takes.

basic but it works for me
I had a little uncertainty with where to enter a couple of my lines, but using the walk-through I was able to find the items in question. Good program, worked flawlessly for me, I'm happy with it and I'll buy it again next year.

1. Gives me a professional personal tax preparation service for submitting to CRA
2. I like the step-by-step preparation, with questions answered along the way.
3. I use it every year so have gained some familiarity and confidence in it.
4. Gives a thorough review of all steps, points out potential errors and omissions.
5. Nice to see the feature tracking "refund" along the way.
6. As a personal tax preparation package, nice to have a few extra returns allowed for extended family members, and a few friends who may have limited resources of their own

Nice software
I've been using Turbo Tax for years, overall experience is good and easy to use even if you know nothing about tax! The only drawback is that the fonts in the software are too small, I can't find option to make it bigger, make it difficult to read. And I participated in the product survey, I think it's a badly designed survey, questions are repetitive and survey is too long, please improve!

HOW EASY CAN IT BEEEEE
I was using for the last 10 years professional accountant and was spending hundreds of dollars for the fmaliy. This time as i was struggling withe business and have no income, deided to use the cheapest means and indeed how easy is you software and i am delighted that i chose your software for our family return for the last 4 years (though had to do it once).
I will keep on using your software for the future, regardless of income !!!!!

Good Value
First time using an electronic filing software program. Using the "Interview" option proved well for my need. It would be nice if Intuit came up with an even more inexpensive product for those who only have one to four returns to complete.

Need solid tax experience to use this
Statement of Business Activities took only 10 min to complete thanks to the auto-fill.
Good for people who know their tax forms inside and out. Otherwise, the average person would give up and hire someone to do it.

Use every year
Have used Turbo Tax Basic for years as used Quick tax before. Very easy to use as I use the forms method rather than easy step or whatever it's called. Can use for all basic items including dividends, capital gains, etc. No problems.

I used this program a couple of times and only got confused a couple of times and had a nasty time trying to find my error and correct it. Finally did it and then had to print and mail. Not your fault. I do like that I can do my taxes myself and save some money. Thank you

Easy to use
I am the first time user of TurboTax software this year. I had difficuty time to find friends or agency to do my tax return in the past three years. I was afraid to do tax return by myself. This year I decided to try this high rating software to do my tax return. It is so easy to use and I learned a lot from HELP of TurboTax. I will definiately recommend this software to my friends. Great Program
it is very easy to use, and not expensive at all.
My only problem is that the writing is very hard to read. I just wish that they would have made the writing largeur.
I would certainly recommend this program does not take long to do and easy to send in to gouverment. instruction very easy to follow.
And it give use the options to buy another program if this one does not have every form that you need.

It gets the job done
Let's face it -- filing taxes is a humongous pain in the posterior. TurboTax makes it somewhat less painful. It's still a pain in the posterior, don't get me wrong, but not so much a pain that I want to scrape the skin off my forehead with a cheese grater. So yeah ... job well done.
