Printing of returns and Forms
What would have helped was actually understanding that when I selected the option to print the Fed T1, the rest of the forms that I used would also be printed. I was going to waste my time selecting the required forms option, and try to recall which forms were required. This was not necessary as selecting Fed T1 included all used.

Be Aware
Good app. Been using this for years and very simple.
Still cannot believe that Turbo-Tax has not fixed the font size issue with the application. You must reduce your systems font size to 100% from any other size or you will not see or be able to enter information in certain forms (T4, for example).
How more years will this software continue without this fix? Geesh!

Turbo Tax
I used another tax software last year and decieded to try Turbo Tax. I was used to last years software so it took me a few minutes to get used to Turbo tax format. Once i figured out how to work it, the software was really easy to operate and understand. the warning at the end of filing were the best, I made corrections before filing. I was over all happy with Turbo Tax!

Good Value
Good value. Although every year the program has the same bug: when you go to print your return, and have certain additional forms open, it warns you that those files will be printed as well if you don't close them first. However I *do* want them printed (which is why I explicitly leave them open, each and every year), and even though I instruct Turbo Tax to leave them open and print them, it never does. :o( I always have to go in and print these additional forms out manually one by one.
Other than that, a good value.

First tax program
It was a good overall. I had some trouble trying to enter my spouses income. After going back and forth many times and getting fustrated I finally moved on and completed my tax forms getting the hang of going back and forth between forms. The help file tells you to use F2 or over ride the field. It doesn't tell you to fill out your form and it will automatically fill it in. I didn't want to use the tutorial as I have filled out my taxes for years and know the forms.

twenty years
I have been using Quicktax and Turbo Tax since 1992 - over 20 years and have never had any issues from family friends or clients during all that time. Price is affordable and the software is easy to use.

A very helping hand
Easy to use and to understand eventhough we get to play with tax jargon but once a year. So it takes a while to get your head around the tax terms and eventually you catch up hoping for a refund ...good luck to you !

Effective
Very effective if all you have are T4s, T5s, RRSP and Donations.
As well as Transit Passes
A couple of hours and you are done. Start early and when you get all your forms NETFILE is easy and I should have my refund in less then 2 weeks.

Basic did all I needed

Easiest for simple tax returns
Very simple to use and can help you find deductions that you may not be aware of if you read all the steps suggested. For parts that you may need to upgrade to Standard you can still fill in manually on the forms if you know what you are looking for.

Update! Update! Update!
When you first open TurboTax, it gives you the option to update. First time I opened, I passed it by.
When I tried to Netfile, it did not work.
I was VERY frustrated, I didnt know if my own computer needed updated, or what.
I came back to the filing the 2nd time, and this time I did run the TT update. Finally, Net File worked.
I am now happy with the product.
Perhaps the update window should come with a strong persuation!

Best money ever spent
Having always paid to have our taxes done elsewhere,, and always wondering what if, i bought the Turbo tax basic, and I am so amazed at how easy and quickly i could do up our taxes. Very helpful and not frustrating at all. WIll do it again next year. *S*

The only problem I had was correcting the errors. I was not successful no matter what I did. I will consult with a tax worker to see where I am going wrong. I ended up printing to mail in the forms instead of filing by net-file. Other than that everything else was great. Cheers, Louise

Basic Lacking Something Basic
I was very disappointed the Basic program wouldn't import your previous information. When buying the low end product I don't expect much, but I did expect that. Otherwise, the program did what I expected.

Worth the price

Good, quick tax software
I have simple taxes, and this program allowed me to prepare and file them quickly. It was a good price. The only negative is that it constantly harasses you to buy more features, a better version of the program, audit protection, etc. It's like having your taxes done by a car salesman. Other than that, it was fine.

A Very Capable Basic Program
For basic returns I highly recommend this program. Some items, however, such as rent payments, require manual entries, which is odd, since this is such a common entry. The interview does not even ask the question of rent or property tax payments. Other than that, I enjoyed using the software.

Somewhat disappointed
Since the Turbo Tax basic doesn't include automatic incorporation of your last years info there is no incentive to stick to this brand. I was a little ticked to find that out when I went to do it. Just saying!

Once you have gathered all of your information the program walks you through each step.If there is an error or an entry you have made that may be an issue when filing,Turbo Tax lets you know.
I have used this software for 4 years and have always appreciated how quick and easy it is.Well wrth the cost of the paqckage.

Great online help
I'm used to using a different software program that I like better, but it's way way too expensive, but considering the cost of this software it's definitely more than your money's worth. If I were doing taxes for the first time you couldn't choose a better program than turbo tax. They have lots of help available for any question. :)

Internet Explorer is a Pain
I have used INTUIT and now Turbo Tax forever and in the past I have always purchased the Standard edition. Being retired I decided to buy the Basic version - I will go back to the Standard next year. The Basic version just does not assist as much. Also I would hope in future that it would be possible for us to use Firefox Browser instead of Windows Explorer.
All in all this is the best tax program on the market!!
