i wish that the refund/tax due window in top corner showed cents also. Would have made remitting balance owing much less of a hassle.

Good - but concerns
I have used Turbotax as long as it has been available and have always been quite pleased with the simplicity of the easy-step method. I am concerned because I did not find it as user friendly as it has been in the past. I found in many instances I was directed to a form which needed to be filled in manually instead of being automatically calculated for optimum tax saving as turbotax functioned in the past. Due to my confusion and apprehension I went over my return and caught a couple of manual inclusions that lessened the amount of tax owing. I do not understand the reasoning for these changes that have made the program less helpful and user friendly? All in all it did get the job done.

easy way past fears
So I waited and waited before filing my taxes because I hate being run around in circles by forms..take total from line 104, multiply by 1.3% of Line 456...you know the feeling. With this product, there was only one time (on the Working Income Tax Credit workpage) that I was asked to navigate to a distant line before proceeding. I actually felt intelligent after NETFILING my return. That's worth a few bucks.

Sufficent to my needs
Considering the rudimentary needs of my tax return, nothing beats the convienance of this progam. Two filings with no real complicated additions, done in less then an hour. The price is right.

Decent Product for Basic Returns
I found the product pretty user friendly and easy to navigate. However I did consult with an accountant on a few items on my tax return and it saved me more money in the end. I also had a simple return, and I would not reccommend this for people with more complex estates.

Great for older people too
I am in my late fiftys and have never done my own return. I have basic skills on the computer. I called turbo tax on one question and they directed me to rev. Can.. Between the two my concern was handled quickly. Turbo tax great help. Rev Canada great help. Will certanly buy turbo tax next year too. I did mine and my spouse's return

Been using for years
There is only one major comment that I wish to make. When filling out the donations form the word "Note" is very confusing. Why not use the word "Name" or "Organization". Other than this one point, everything worked out super for me. Thanks again for this valuable tool for submitting income tax information. Thank you very much.

Best Product on the Market
After trying other tax prep software out there I have to say that this is the best one available for home use. It is the closest thing I've come to that equals what I used when I worked for a tax prep company. The company I worked for also put out a product for home use and I couldn't stand it.

Taxes Made Easy
I found that for the 1st time I was able to do my own taxes unassisted. I have always found the paper format impossible to navigate and the math confounding.
The ease of navigating with the tutorial was great. I also appreciate the online filing. Quick and easy and paper free.

I found the Basic OK ; but , I've always used the Standard before and I think I prefer it over the Basic as it seemed to make choosing variations of splitting incomes and deductions more available with instant calculations making it quicker to chose which way to proceed. I did not find the Basic revealed your refund or tax due with every entry the Standard did. The Basic for example did not suggest we split my pension, I had to hunt and find it and it made almost $5000 difference in my tax.

It was ok
It was pretty easy until I hit a warning saying I was applying for the disability discount. I had not but when I hit fix error it took me to the wrong page. It took me 3 days (and I nearly re-started) to realize the error was not where they said it was but 6 screens later. It was frustrating. But still waaaaay easier than manually creating the documents and telefiling.

Quick and easy
I've never been good at math so having a program handle the calculations for me is a great idea. This is my second year using the program and it allowed me to put in all of the details and file my return online without hassle.

Did everything I needed
For basic tax returns, TurboTax Basic was all I needed. I was concerned as I had basic RRSP's to claim and the box did not indicate it was for RRSP's...only the Standard version. Not true. This version will also complete your return if you have RRSP's. Definately no need to pay the extra money for the Standard version. Sneeky way to try and up sell you.

Good product
Having used Quick Tax, now called Turbo Tax for many years, and experienced the different versions have always found it eay to use. Now with simplified tax requirements the Basic Turbo Tax is an excellent tool for our tax situation and requirements. Like the company it is intuitive, well laid out and makes tax filing with Netfile a breeze. Nobody likes paying taxes and if one gets a refund so much the better. Good value!
