Wording
The wordings are too small for senior people and can not be adjusted to larger size even I have the 23" monitor.

Not As Easy This Year
I had a huge problem getting the updates for the 2018 Turbo Tax Basic program. After about three tries and restarting my computer, it finally updated.

I've used better
I've used better, more intuitive software. I found the EasyStep confusing and complicated, but the forms method was more confusing than other free software I've used. The only reason I switched to TurboTax was because there was a situation in which due to circumstances, the software refused to Netfile and stated I had to mail in my return. My recommendation - don't live in Quebec. My return is also super simple. But hey, it worked out and the math was the same so, ultimately, it's a fine program.

I bought your basic tried to download it to my computer your web sight did provide a down load I tried all I could no luck . I got a friend who knows a lot more about computers than me and he could find a down load . we could only find ones that require payment. I still have an older computer with a disk drive . fix the download problem

Netfile was very difficult, I'm assuming due to poor internet connections or problems on the CRA side. It took several attempts over the course of 3 days.

Turbo Tax Basic
This is the first time using the Basic Edition as in the past I have used the Standard edition and my opinion is I should have stayed with the Standard Edition. I find basic is too basic and leaves you wondering where you are heading next. I understand it is to help people with the simple taxes but maybe I just like to be a bit more aware of what is being done

Navigation Glitch?
TurboTax did not give me the option of downloading my tax info (RL1) from Revenu Quebec after doing the CRA T4 download, even though it said on the page it would return me to the page to do so. I had to guess that I had to enter it manually after a frustrating search in the help and after looking on the web provided no help!

Bit disappointed with CD/ Downloadable Disk
From all the years i have been with Intuit Canada i purchased CD but wasn't able to perform CRA updates. I contacted support but seems problem was with server so updates were not working. Able to get patch from Intuit Canada and finally was able to NetFile.

Easy to Use
Easy to use, except for election to split pension income with wife. There was no prompt to elect to split pension income. I had to call up the T1032 form manually. This is an important election and will save significant tax.

Could not print my tax report
worked fine until the end error when printing the final part, says needs to check updates and won't print for mailing to cra. I hope the net file works, the real reason why i got your software.

Save/Print Return A disaster
Your save return (copy) and Save for filing to CRA instructions are very unclear. I click on print a copy and got a "duplicate" at first attempt. Then I wanted to print one to mail, and it was confusing on how to print only limited number of pages.

Too many Bugs
This version had too many bugs. They need to fix them sooner than later. I couldn't start a file by myself, as the program wouldn't let me. I had to transfer the information from my 2017 return in order to make it work.

No to easy.
I must admit I am almost 82 years (young at heart) and my Computer knowledge is limited, hence at times I was not to sure what numbers, or in one case an Industry Code I need to use. However, I did do the best and the system did let me go back time and time again. So all in all I say its OK !!!

netfile error
Well I have used this program for years and this is the first time I have had an issue. Your "rate this program" menu. I thought I had my return filed April 24th, as it turns out I had missed the drop down selection to net file my return. Thank you for hiding what should be the simplest and most important part of the process under a drop down menu that starts with nothing to do with completing my taxes. Are you telling me I must complete this survey before filing my return? Two months later I am wondering what has taken so long and I find out "I haven't submitted my return". Rate this product? yah sure KEEP YOUR GARBAGE OUT OF MY WAY!

had issues with the Netfile this year. It didn't seem to send to CRA and had to resend multiple times on 2 returns we did. Other than that I use it every year.
