Microsoft Windows 10 is a piece of crap. I wish you would not have done away with the previous versions, and would use the Mac version if it wasn't so expensive.

The worst ever.
I have been using Turbo Tax for Years and Years. Nothing but difficulties for 2020 tax year. Error messages came up when there was no errors or would not allow return to fix the errors. The software would not allow me to print or file the returns. Could not get appropriate support from tech support.

2020 Return
When I filed my 2019 Return I indicated that I would be using my pension splitting option and it showed that when I printed out my copy. However when I e-filed my return that option was not indicated on CRA's copy, and I was not notified of this until June 2020. This error cost me over $2000. This year I entered my e-mail address when requested but when I printed my copy my e-mail was not on the form. Also this years forms are very confusing to follow.
I think this is my last year using Turbo Tax

not user friendly
Unhappy with this software. Too difficult to switch between returns. Multiple screens open when not needed. No option to only print a summary. Will not use again

Worst Purchase Ever
So I purchased the product for a previous year return that needed to be filed. The program will not let me NetFile because the CRA says there are errors that need to be corrected but a manual review of every form shows all of the information is accurate and complete. My only alternative was to print and file the return. The printed copy is missing most of the forms and schedules that need to be submitted, and the saved PDF file is the same. TurboTax will not let me access the forms because it has now been printed to be filed. Support from TurboTax is non-existent other than to tell me to print and file the return and that the package is giving me all the forms I need.
Complete waste of time and money.

Worst purchase ever
First off, this is ABSOLUTELY not user-friendly. I had no clue what i was doing the whole time... The UI is not meant for a casual user not used to it and quite honestly i feel like my income tax return is completely messed up. On top of that, it won't send and I am now late on the return since i've been attending to send it for 2 months but the program simply says : "Thank you for using TurboTax. See you next year!"... I don't think so.

Do not buy older versions

It will only let me save & print, then mail in my return. 100 % do NOT want to do that !!!
-if I can't file over the internet than this is NO use to me !!!!!!!! Waste of time and money !!!

worst Turbo tax ever
Sorry but I found this version more complicated to follow, some of the windows were so small I had to connect my lap top to the TV just to see the fields. Reviewing or going back into different tabs was also more complicated to find the information I was looking for. I will reconsider purchasing Turbo tax 2020

User Interface, Wording & internal Logic Issues
Product isn't equipped to imagine people in the future doing taxes for previous years, "current address" vs. "address in filing year" and "mailing address" and "contact address" (one would assume is the current, ie: possibly not relating to the time and place of the return being filed)not specified in time or space. unclear in the actual wording in the program. early impossible for example if you are currently in one province doing taxes for a year you lived in another province. finding out where other provincial tax credits are is painful, the wording is awkward and the flow of certain bits of information is backwards. the error notifications that refer to information one wasn't prompted to give in the first place, using the "interview" method etc.etc.
the online version is MUCH BETTER however, and sorts out some of the issues, but still the wording around the mailing/contact/current/address for year of filing is a little confusing still.

I am very dissatisfied with your product. it won't update and it blocks everything I try to even print out forms' did everything it said to update and re-installed and still no results. last years turbo was a least workable. not this time. next year I will try a different CD. not turbo tax.

Poor Execution Turbotax Basic
Problems:
I DO NOT accept the Terms and Conditions attached to this Review submission.
BDG.
Program would not connect to Registration Server at Intuit.
Program could not be Registered.
Therefore NO way to get Support for error that the program would NOT record and display my email address in the T1 and other Forms; and for the erroneous inclusion of non-applicable forms in my file.
NetFiling FAILED due to lack of automatic connection on first option, had to self_file the NetFile as option 2.
Many Forms not applicable to my instance could not be turned off in the print / save packages.
Very Poorly Executed program overall.
If CRA finds errors in my NetFile submission, it could probably be due to poor TurboTax programming, as above.

confusing
I purchased the Basic this year feeling I no longer needed the Standard. Totally disappointed. I found it very confusing not knowing what I must fill in and what was being done by auto fill. The info was nonexistent or hard to understand.Font was so small I could hardly see to read it and could not enlarge it. The menu would enlarge but not the instructions on the schedules. I don't feel I should have to pay a higher price when my needs have been drastically reduced. Will be going with a much simpler program next year.No more Tubotax for me!!!

Don't use turbotax basic (go with standard)
if you're going to go the Turbotax route I'd recommend using turbotax standard. The basic option is not nearly as intuitive or user friendly (i.e. you end up having to enter a lot more into the actual tax forms).

Buggy
I bought the online edition and had to purchase CD edition because online edition kept looping while importing the previous year's tax file. It just wouldn't go anywhere. Useless website. CD/windows edition is ok.
