Problems Again This Year
I had problems last year with this software saving the data but was able to confidently send my return. This year I had the same problems but this time have no confidence that my results will be saved. To add to my concerns, now I cannot open the file from last year. I have just spent the last hour copying the data on to the government forms. I like the convenience of the software and submittal process but I think I will try a different product next year.

I recived errors, and when I tried to fix them I was sent around in circiles with no clear explanation of what the error was . I could not net file so had to take my info to a tax office

did not fill or prompt forms that applied
don't use this if you have anything other than the most basic, basic return. If you have one item slightly out of the ordinary (eg residency outside Canada for part of the year) the software does not pick up on it. It is only by pouring over the printed forms do you pick up on forms and lines that were missed in "easy steps" and need to be filled in manually.

very difficult to use
Program is okay in some places but very hard to use in other places. The help section is very hasrd to find the topic for help that you want. It seems stupi to have to buy a new program every year. Why can't you use the same program and just download the updates, which you have too doo any way. It is just a money making grab for Intuit, in my opinion.

Worst purchase ever
Not friendly at all... The only reason I purchased this one is the other one I love was not for sale at the store this year.
I told myself it could not be that bad... but very very disapointed in this software.
I will never buy it again and nor recommend it to somebody else.

Unable to submit your Quebec tax file
I cannot recommend this product.
For one, I use a local server to hold my files and Turbo tax does not like this. Once I had completed my return and saved. It DELETED MY RETURN from the local server. I HAD TO DO MY RETURN TWICE! *Sigh*... It only works if you save the file locally.
My second and biggest complaint is that the software was unable to submit my Quebec return using the Netfile process. I KNOW that the Quebec server was up, because I succeeded in manually sending my return to them. Of course, I had to figure out how to coerce Turbotax to save the MRQ file required to submit the return.... Is it too much to expect a software that I pay for to be able to do the same thing as one you can get for free?
Finally, I am also displeased by Intuit's constant emails throughout the year. I must have been sent at least 15 if not 20 reminders throughout the year, FOR THE SAME PRODUCT.
Little hint Intuit: Nobody cares about doing their taxes the other 10 months of the year!

turbo tax fails
this package was confusing and its clarification messy. i did not find this package to be useful, helpful or easier than paper, which will from here on in be my usual form of tax preparation. this was the first time we purchased this and expected a heck of a lot more than we received and i certainly will never use it again as it took 4 times longer than paper. sorry you fail.

why i will not use turbo in future
I found it difficult to move through various schedules, and it got annoying trying to move past the "commercials" for advanced products. It did not provide a best choice option for spouses other then income-splitting. I had to re-start my joint return just to get the program to allow switching of things like donations. For me this was the most frustrating year I spent doing tax returns and I see no reason to make future tx rtns as frustrating.

Does not cover deductions in enough detail...saving system is BAD...hard to find .tax files etc...no submit button for this review...VERY BAD PROGRAM...WHY DO YOU NEED A NICKNAME?

lousy performance this year
make tax software for a Mac I won't buy turbotax again. It froze every second page, Too many grayed choices. Directions unclear. I have used tax software for ten years and this is the worst! Not well thought out. Won't let me Netfile. Arrrgh

never again
I couldn't enter any medical expenses or anything like that. I am very computer literate so it's not like it's my first time using a keyboard. Sure I can submit my medical expenses at a later date but then what is the point of buying software to do half a job? I will not be using Intuit product in the future.
