Turbo tax was great with helping me to file my taxes, no complaints for the overall performance. There was however one point that could be improved for ease of access. On the warnings page at the end of the return there was no actual link to the problematic sections, they ha to be searched for manually to resolve the issues.

Only use this if your return is very simple otherwise pay for the upgrade and avoid any frustration. I've always bought the CD standard version and was very happy...couldn't this year as I'm still on Windows 7 :(

Area to Improve
On the Foreign Income Verification Form (T1135), Please include "(other than personal use and real estate used in an active business)" in Part A for "Real Property Outside Canada". It is important to know whether real property for personal use would need to be reported. Not including the clarification confuses the user and creates an unnecessary reporting with potentially misleading information.

The software works well but if you try and use the free version it constantly tries to upsell you. At one page early in the process, it talks about the benefits of the paid services and at the bottom of the page it doesn't indicate there is a free version (only at the next page does it indicate there is a free option.)

Solid overall, warnings could use rephrasing
Turbotax did the job I needed it to do and worked pretty smoothly overall. It would have been extremely quick convenient except that when prompted with a warning at the end that I needed to fill in if I tosi applied to me, I got the impression that if the answer was "no" I should click ignore. I failed to submit my form several times and had to leave for a few hours and come back before I figured out what was wrong. Still a good product overall, would just recommend a slight tweak to the way the warning is phrased.

software suggestion
It will be good if turbo tax can show the exact CRA schedules forms for filling up.
Detailed calculation of Federal & BC tax will be good if shown online.
More information on Capital Gains & Losses plus forms to be filled up.
otherwise everything seems to be good.

easy enough
It's easy enough to use, will continue to use likely. im still having issues with the contributions for my RSP, i had to break it down into two contributions before and after January because i couldn't figure out how to edit both lines

Free, Easy, Fast
If you can look past the fact that they try to upsell you to the premium, paid versions of their software on almost every page of the return, this is a great service. If you have a simple to mildly complex tax return, it is incredibly easy to file. Almost everything auto-fills accurately using the info that your income sources submit to the CRA.

Too pushy and not clear enough
I found the interruptions, pushing additional services at every turn very annoying. Form was also not as clearly organized and straight forward as last year.

Wonderfully Easy
Only complaint is that it does not clearly state that you do not need to upload a receipt for rent. Using the "help" tool, an answer said you must look under the "Your Taxes" heading but that is not even in the tool when you are actively filing your tax (will have to look to see if it is available AFTER it has been filed). Otherwise, TurboTax is a great tool. I'm glad I came across it.

Better than my helicopter Dad
Very good. My dad likes to do my taxes and then compare to Turbo Tax as a hobby, and so far Turbo Tax is better.
The search function could be more user friendly. Perhaps have more than just enough space for 4 options in the scroll list, and perhaps a search that actually search for the keywords you type in, instead basically typing the thing out in the search bar, where one might as well scroll in the first place. Just some thoughts.

Great Value for Free File
Some of the incentives to upgrade and pay for for tax form were intimidating. Turbo seems unaware the cost of dental and medical for seniors on pension. Warning sign came that spending more than 5% of gross income may initiate a tax audit. I have all my qualifying receipts.

Better than waiting in line
The only question that was confusing was about receiving my Trillium benefit in a lump sum or monthly. It should be in two separate questions as the question itself is a double negative. Make sure you read that one twice.
