Best of the free tax software programs I found
I was a UFile client prior to using TurboTax Free for 2018. It appears to be a fairly complete program and easy to use although online information regarding this "free" version isn't that easy to find. My taxes are pretty straightforward. I wish it allowed both form and interview input as I wasn't sure that some of my data was being populated in the correct way. Thankfully, it does allow you to review the T1 forms just prior to filing. I will be using it again.

Better than paying someone to do it for you.
Anyone can do their own taxes with Turbo Tax, don't pay someone to do it, just get the app and your on the way to doing it yourself. It took me under an hour and that's with having to create a CRA account and it was no hassle at all. Two thumbs up. Would recommend to anyone wanting to do their tax themselves then pay for it.

I used to do my own Income tax when I did paper filing. I use Turbo tax and find their site easy to understand and accurate. This is a very simple and easy to read way to do your taxes. I do recommend them.

I liked using this program; however, the path of entering information was not always clear and easy. It did not follow an easy, user friendly path to enter and/or edit the information. But, overall, it was a good program for my first time using tax software.

Less filing & more Living

Problem with T5008 losses
Overall I like this product, but after Netfiling just now, I realized that it reported my net capital losses incorrectly, but there was no prompt or instructions that I saw that would have given me a chance to correct this. The cause of the problem was, all my net losses were added together, but some net losses should not have been reported because they occurred when I contributed stock "in kind" to my TFSA, at a loss from where I bought it. This loss is not allowed to be applied or carried forward, but Turbotax added it to my reportable net capital loss.

Easy but netfile errors
It is a great program, I was able to do everything except it wouldn't let me netfile. I had so many errors and you only get 5 times to try to netfile. I ended up printing and mailing it.

Constant Unwanted Upgrade Options
Very frustrating to be asked to upgrade every few minutes after telling the program I didn't want to at the start. Being asked to upgrade once or twice throughout would be fine, but the amount of times I had to skip past the upgrade options was exhausting and frustrating.
