CRA Website Net File isn't working
I am have a disability and am now on Pension. I called CRA yesterday and today and had to wait 2 hours for someone to answer and yet, 'sarah' didn't know anything about why the link to Netfile isn't working and then hung up. 'Charlie', your bot is not helpful in the least as it only repeats the questions I asked such as

Please hire people who listen and can answer or have a manager call us back instead of having to wait 2 or 3 more hours and only be hung up on by your workers who ask "why do you need to speak to a manager " ? and then disconnect
There are Too many pages of information under CRA's website and seeing 2,400 listings of the word Pension only added to my stress.
Thankfully I found Turbo Tax where I filed my 2022 and 2021, however CRA kept reading ERR and wouldn't let me sign in.
After 2 days, I finally was able to complete my taxes online Thanks to Turbo Tax.

It was free, so…
The problem that CRA did not answer my call for Identity,, so I was unable to file « perfectly » even with Turbo!!! So I really believe CRA will have to do the correction if needed.
Poor bad experience for me,

All of my information slips were of the NR4 variety and there was no clear place on the return to enter them. If there would have been a clear explanation or a cross reference of some kind, the flow of information would have been better. Since my income was so low, I did not have to pay for the service and I'm thankful for that. Disappointed that I was not able to electronically file this return.

What Happened?
I've used Turbo tax for years, and always 5 stars. But this year, when doing my senior
parents (95 and 94), I got notified that their returns would cost $70 for Dad and $40 for Mom. Huh?? The most I have ever paid is $30 to $40 max, total for both. I don't know what this is about, but I will be switching software if I really get billed as defined above.

Good Deal
I have always used TT on my old IBM machine and it worked fine! Now I cannot run the TT disc on this old machine as it is too old. I would like to be able to purchase TT for my MacBookAir, but do not know how?

Selected free, charged me
I selected the free version was upgraded for free then after finishing it all it wanted to charge me for it!? I had no option but to delete and start over completely. Sticking with the initial FREE - Free version and not the upgrade - Free but charge you later anyway version

surprised CRA certified it
every year i file with turbotax and every year the government sends back changes. and it's a bit of a pain for the quebec returns (though i appreciate that it's capable of doing them)

Good product if it worked to submit
completed my tax return and submitted electronically to CRA however was not able to do so for Quebec. Turbotax was not able to help or find a resolution.

This software looks different every year. I am not pleased with how they 'dangle' a credit in front of you only to inform you that you must upgrade to see how it will benefit you. I'm going to check out other software for next year.

2019 Back Taxes
Similar experience as 2018 version, but with the very big difference that I get pestered with upselling ads every 2-3 pages. It's SO annoying!!! Suggest an upgrade if I try to access more advanced sections, or at the beginning or end. But don't keep pestering me with the same upsells when I've already said no or skipped them before!

Too loooong
Although the format is very intuitive, there were some repeated questions and some things that were confusing. As I searched for RESP within the search bar of additional info, it just brought me to the section of the list containing the items starting with an R and RESP was under "Tax of RESP" or something similar. Also, I should just be able to send the final PDF to the corresponding office. Some of the wording was bit complicated, even though this is meant to be for people in general, no wonder my parents can't figure it out and are intimidated. Also, all of the deals should be at the beginning or something or even on the side of page or an extension of the page, not an entire page by itself. Plus, the upgrade for a price options appeared very frequently, it was annoying since they each took up their own page. Also, I was about to exit when I saw that I finished the review since the diagram showed me that, but I still hadn't finished. One good thing would be the part in the review where is points out potential mistakes.

Errors - first time filer
I kept getting error messages. When I signed out and then signed back in they went away, but in the end I couldn't user netfile and had to print and mail it.

A money Grab
I think it's a little ridiculous that you automatically make someone buy the full version just because they have a T3 or T5 or have medical bills, these are very simple things that everyday people have and not being complicated.

I don't like the new version of TurboTax
I found the 2021 version of TurboTax was very difficult to use. There is no Income Tax Guide as was provided in other years explaining what some phrases mean, so I found it very confusing and puzzling. I have been using QuickTax and TurboTax for many years and this year it took four times as long to do them. I would like TurboTax to go back to the old format of former years.

Complicated
Should be able to submit for donations and digital subscriptions amounts without having to upgrade to a deluxe version to access the forms. These are basic things most Canadians use.

Online version is confusing

up-selling that free version
Better than last year, did not feel bombarded with numerous attempts to be upsold to a differnt product, or to buy into other services. still quite a few attempts at upselling upgrades or useless add-ons and services.

Crazy Disjoint Navigation
It looks like most of the practical tax related inputs are available, but the site navigation has got even more insane and confusing than last year. Why can't you just have a simple step-by-step, instead of making me guess and search for things to include in my tax assessment? Presumably it's done so you can get people to pay money for basic advice on how to use your software... or perhaps your designers are just incompetent.
Some basic functionality is also not available until you agree to terms and payments. Why can't I see a paper copy of what's being sent to CRA before having to pay for it?

Needs some bugs fixed
Need some serious revamping of their server connections. It would get stuck and I had to refresh and redo my pages nearly every page. Took three times as long as it should have. Big disappointment compared to previous years. At least it's free.

I have used turbo tax for years, long before the on-line version became available. Now I am getting spammed by the US turbo tax, and being constantly up sold as I try to complete my very simple tax return. And I was not shown the options for claiming the COVID work from home deduction, I had to search for it! Not what I remember from turbo tax past ... I miss that awesome product!!!

Don't like the financial health questions
This year was about the same as before, except that it has this new thing called " Financial health questions". I DO NOT LIKE THEM AT ALL!!! They keep popping up and asked questions that are personal to our own financial security. ThaT truly worries me.
