Not great for beginners
Honestly not impressed and not disappointed. There done i just don’t feel like they are right and I could not claim over $10000 in rent due to I couldn’t fine anywhere to include this total.

Worth what I paid... nothing.
This year, Turbo Tax was cumbersome and not very user-friendly. Previous years, it was a pleasure to use but this year I almost gave up. I am very disappointed and have already started asking my friends what they use...

turbo tax
round and round the mullberry bush - for an extremely simple, basic return such as mine, confusing - questions asked that couldn't be answered because the T4 ?? didn't provide the information you insisted on - dam'n I'm glad I didn't pay for this

not the easiest to use
Very confusing when entering cpp,oas, split income. as cpp oas are not T4 s but T4|A which it does not have a slot to fill in and finding the pension splitting option was like being on a merry go round. But did figure it all out in the end. thank you

Annoying
I am trying to print my 2018 returns. I had first tried to electronically file the return, but for some reason was not successful. So I decided to print it off. I only can download the file with the stamp do not send on it. Not the original one. Truly annoying and frustrating.

improvements
it would be much easier if we could have a more robust search function. Searching by line numbers for example. Another beneficial feature would be an easier "one click" way to switch between different returns.

Turbotax
The problems I had this year include being sent to the us site from a search engine and being able to log in only to find none of my information there, always being asked for more money and upgrades yet unable to downgrade, data from dependents that doesn't automatically transfer to my return...etc If not fixed they may lose this customer.

Not Great
Not Easy to use, I didn't like the columns on the left it was hard to go backwards, not bad but not great. Last time I used this was about 2015 and I found that version easier to use.

Good but slipping
Been using TT for many years now I've found over the past number of years there are several areas that you cannot get a simple answer anymore It also seems that for each of the past few years I get a notice from CRA saying I owe MORE $$ 6 months down the road TT is becoming unreliable of late

Tricky to use

Good Software
The free version of software is average, I wish it was more user friendly, for example wanting to input something you always have to search for it. In other words, this software makes you feel like you forgot to input something.

Unable to access CRA
I have used Turbo Tax for the last few years to file my income tax return with success and enjoyed it. However this year on multiple occasions I was unable to connect to my CRA account to complete the process and was fairly disappointed, had to mail my tax forms instead.

Meh!!
Everything was relatively easy except finding information about Line 21200. Tried to enter my mandatory professional dues but there is no area specified for it. Think I will just stick to the CRA form next year.

Where did forms go?
Option to complete the forms has been removed, can only do interview mode. Very frustrating as not sure if all items are entered correctly until entire process is gone through. Also, why if a net capital loss is calculated, does a T1A form not appear as option to be completed? Very difficult to find this form as does not come up when searching program or asking for help! Please bring back ability to complete forms!

Not sure if I really like this one. I have bought Turbo Tax for many years and I don't think this gives me the full amount of deductions. We usually get back money and now that my husband passed away it says he owes money does not make sense to me. I will go over it one more time..We have both been on disability for a few years now that is why I am questioning it today.

Hard to access Previous Year
Couldn't access previous year and countless phone calls and return calls. It should not be that hard to see if you have filed (finished the process)!
First time using online version and I don’t recommend it but love the CD version for Desk version

2017 Bug - Infinite Loop
TurboTax is fast and easy to use, user friendly except for the 2017 infinite loop I got stuck in. One call, one hour and 15 minutes later my problem was fixed. Once fixed, my tax return was filed ASAP, pronto, fast! I am super happy with Turbo Tax! I've tried other tax software and it didn't compare. TurboTax is awesome!
