Can't downgrade
Really intuative and easy to use. I was able to do my taxes in 20 min, however I realized that I could not downgrade my plan and that was a little annoying as I did not need all the extra services

Yeah I get a refund
Simple to use, if you have no extra slips or amounts to enter. If you do have extra info to enter, that wasn't auto loaded from CRA website it does take some time to get through the return

Free and straightforward... Takes too long
Cons: Asks too many questions, too spread apart. Prompts for premium too often when unnecessary. Generally inconsiderate of your time.
Pros: It submits your taxes and can be free.

Confusing
Found many of the pages confusing with little clarifying information available. There must be some way to move from section to section Ie Deductions to Income, or Review to any previous Activity, but I couldn't find it, so had to move one by one through dozens of pages using the "back" or "continue" buttons. Also, every time I moved back to correct something , then I had to move forward page by page. I understand why, but surely the system (program) could do that automatically.

I think your free edition is not help,if we dont know how to do it , specially for the people who do it first, and there is trick for people who need more help, so this free edition just for forcing people to choose pay edition , I could understand it but you should warning more to people who want to use it.

Confusing
Turbotax is confusing as one doesn't know which tax line the information is going on, and finding a schedule 7, for example, was non-existent. CRA has no idea about these programs which is useless to anyone needing help.

Stressful
I was happy to use the free service at first but 6 hours and 3 days later I wanted nothing to do with taxes ever again. Between varifying mine and my husbands, CRA's, getting all the medical receipt, and fixing errors It took 3 DAYS! and 6 HOURS TOTAL. A checklist before you start would be a great addition to making this less stressful especially for the first time users.

ok, but a lot of clicking
Generally, a good website and it is recommended by the CRA.
It seems to work, but there is a lot of clicking and it seems like you have to double-confirm info that you have already entered and confirmed.

Just OK
Price wise, this version meets the requirement of free. I still like to download a free software onto my laptop and then work the form from that version. I would have liked to be able to stop at any time, save what I'd done and then go back in on another day. Nowhere do they indicate that is an option. Other than that, it did the trick of getting my tax info & return in and sent to CRA for processing.

Someone truly needs to review grammar
There were so many typos and grammatical errors in this year's software (free version at least) that I wondered at one point if it was a legitimate piece of software. I am continually amazed these past few years how often I come across typos everywhere on the internet. A little worrisome .......

Why???
I have used your systems for years. I never received any information as to why my 2018 return on your system had "locked forms" for well after a week from the day I completed my return. I downloaded the PDF file which you have marked not to mail and importantly I see that my address does not show. Why?

Great tool, ads are annoying
This is a great program that is ridiculously easy to use. The only annoying this is the amount of ads for the paid version. If your tax situation is simple, there's no need to pay.

meh
doing your taxes is boring and tedious. turbotax is no exception. like slowly peeling off a bandaid, it's just something that has to happen. i'm glad turbotax has saved me the time from writing all those 0's in spots that don't apply to me. keep the the good work up, you mighty tax machine!

Okay
Got the job done, but way too much product pushing that I have to click "no" for over and over and over. And I'm not even sure what's going on with the filing of the taxes since CRA netfile is down. Do I log in at a later date? Is it still ready to send off? I have no idea. It's not that "menu friendly" to manoeuvre around the site as needed.

Good Programme with Some Glitches
Works great as usual. There were a few issues with information disappearing (e.g., in foreign income) when moving to different stages of the process, but overall not a big deal.
What was annoying is the inability to enter a non-Canadian address. Yes, we cannot E-File, but we still need to provide a valid address, and don't live in Canada.

Frustrating and Rewarding
It took me longer with the free version to fill out my taxes, I think I'll stick to using the Turbo Tax Standard version you can purchase - much less frustrating and better organized.

2017 Downturn
I used this program to do my 2016 Tax returns and it was so great and easy to use. I got my PDF of my T1 and even an Archive. However I can't get to my 2017 PDF and I only received my Archive. I am furious as there are no answers anywhere on the site.

Confusing
I found that the layout was a bit confusing but mainly that I thought everything was filed and then checked My Account through Canada Revenue to see that it had actually not been filed yet a month and a half later. I had somehow missed actually filing my taxes because of the confusing layout and high number of ads.

Good program,pushy up-selling
Tax program was well designed, streamlined nicely, and effective in covering all the bases, provided user has a bit of knowledge of things they need to tell the program.
However, the up-selling was overly pushy. Although I realise that the Intuit business model is to sell the premium tax services, there should be no more than one up-selling page per service, and preferably all of the up-selling for all services should be on a single, concise page. The program as presented had bulky up-selling pages for single services, and there were at least 3 different pages through the program attempting to up-sell to the plus package, which was far more annoying than helpful; this has pre-disposed me towards not purchasing that product at any point in the future.
