Frustrating
My marital status was already single from the previous tax year but turbo tax did not have it on file, and to try and correct it on turbo tax was extremely frustrating!! Will now have to call CRA and wait to speak to an agent and explain!

Upgrade Pressure
I used to recommend TurboTax to everyone, until this year I feel as though the pressure to upgrade is unreal. After spending a while working on my taxes I made one wrong click and suddenly could not return to the free version, as it tries to upgrade you to premier multiple times throughout. After that, I then had to completely restart my return as once you upgrade you cannot go back. Even though I did not want to upgrade. Customer service was no help. This year TurboTax made doing my taxes extremely difficult and time consuming. I'm really disappointed :(

Not pleased
Very predatory. Makes upgrades seem free but it will charge you if you happen to hit it, pop ups to get you to pay are very repetitive.

Every second screen is a request to upgrade me. It's very annoying. I have a very simple return and don't need an expert to review it or added features for support.

Added Fees are Sneaky
Too many extra fees that are masked as mandatory. The wording is very sneaky and I can see how people can be easily taken advantage of. This is unethical and should be explicitly communicated that they are OPTIONAL. Stop scaring people into giving more money than they need to.

Free getting worse
This "was" the best free tax program and would have recommended it to everyone...you had access to everything like you were doing it on paper. Now it is so gummed down and looks like more and more they want you to pay for stuff. Disappointing.

crappy if you know what you are doing
The removal of a way to access forms that was available in past versions seems to be gone. It only has an idiot guide which is nice if you don't know what you are doing but makes it slower and easier to mess up if you are competent in tax law.

the loop
It keeps putting me in loop after i finish filing. when I ask for help it says i have to finish filing. make it make sense. what was suppose to take me 5 minutes to file is now taking me an 1hr.

Not worth it
It used to be easier to use in the past. I had to look up a number of things myself to see what it was and if I qualified. And the cost of buying it plus tax was more than what I would have gotten back by adding my medical expenses.

Possible worst app ever
Asked me to signed me in and out repeatedly. CRA auto fill won’t load. Get asked to put in my code to log in and out about 40 different times for three different years!!!! Fix this

Error Code 84
I've filed my taxes with TurboTax since 2021. But since the acquisition by an American company, the error codes for Canadians are really annoying. Not to mention the charges when you file and still get inconvenienced to mail out your taxes instead of NETFILE! It's a shame!

something happened

I couldn’t find the help I needed
There was a T4 with CRA that wasn’t included the first time I filed and when I tried to refile it again adding the T4…it didn’t let my refile go through… There isn’t a phone number readily available to talk to a human being when you run into a problem like this

being sent in circles
spent the last half hour being sent in circles trying to download a copy of my taxes. Not very user friendly. your software works well but your site in trying to access it doesn't work . keeps sending me in circles without ever downloading it.

Wouldn't let me Netfile
Kept telling me error on Seniors Property Tax amount, re-did several times, but still said error and because of error could not Netfile. Had to print to mail it. Pretty poor service!
