Small Returns This Year
I usually use Intuit Turbo Tax free version and I have been quite happy until this year. However, a LOT of money was withheld this year and I have no explanations about it. My employers confirmed they did not make and special adjustments other to my tax contribution, therefore it makes little sense to me. I filled my taxes in the usual and best way I could. I am dissatisfied with this service and I will not be using the service next year, opting for a professional accountant to review this return and explain what might have happened - and file all my future ones.

Rarely works correctly
What a terrible product! I have used this for years and every year question why I put myself through it.... Why can't you port this for both PC and OSX on one disc? Why can't you have some kind of online active help for when your program quits or makes errors and makes us start all over again? Why when I buy this product and it fails to work can I not get a customer service rep to talk to us in under an hour, and even then have no authorization and insufficient control to provide anything other than the free version? If I wanted the stripped down free version I wouldn't have purchased the disc in the first place...so disappointing...

Always Wrong
I've used the last 2 years and what TurboTax tells me my refund/owing is and what the CRA are always different and to the CRA's benefit

Your system was blocked
A few hours before the time limit April 30, 2021 midnight, your system blocked and I saw that little dog on his belly feeling sorry. I tried I don't know how many times to send my return , but I gave up after a week, started another report from scratch but it was refused.
The last 2 years, with you , I did not have any problems, but for $144. Cnd , I believe I will think twice next year.
I am very disappointed the way it was impossible for me to do absolutely nothing.

Having used personal QuickTax & TurboTax for years, and worked with ProTax about 10 years ago, this year I was really disappointed. The loss of the old style slip summaries and the ability to refer to the real forms makes it much more difficult to find input errors and see exactly where you are. It may be "user friendly" for a new taxpayer, but for me, someone experienced with tax returns, it has made the job more difficult. Oversimplified.

Terrible 2020 version
I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has been easy most years. This years version was terrible. It would not prefill in from last years tax files as it kept taking me back to the log in page and needing a verification number. I did that at least 5 times before I just completed them as new returns. You need to get your stuff together....

Not impressed this year
I found this year's version did not run as smoothly as previous years. Would hit continue and it would bump be to a summary screen rather than an entry screen. Ended up having to use the summary list on the left hand side of the screen to navigate my way through the whole claim. Waaaay too many ads to bump up the version/services of the software.

Errors not easy to fix!

I found this program very hard to follow and was disappointed that I did not get a version for mailing to CRA. I will have to get the paper forms and transfer the information. I spent a lot of time over the past few days on and off Turbo Tax and don't have the results I expected but I did choose the free version and I guess you get what you pay for.

LOW INCOME SENIORS FORM NEEDED
TURBO TAX SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT WE ARE LOW INCOME SENIORS WITHOUT JOBS, THAT WE HAVE OAS AND SOME PENSION INCOME. I HAD TO ACCESS THESE TABS FROM THE LEFT-HAND ROW. AFTER FIVE PLUS YEARS OF DOING OUR TAXES, TURBO TAX SHOULD KNOW THIS.

Not Impressed
The whole thing is confusing and difficult to navigate at best. Used Turbo Tax decades ago when it first started under a different name then switched. Came back because the version I used is free and my old standby now charges. I like to print out a paper copy but can't do that with this program without the disclaimer. Also didn't like the constant asking for paid upgrades.

Not as good as hoped
I used this to do my Mom's taxes. She is a low income senior, so not complex. To get a question answered, you need to pay $10. I think I'll go back to Simple Tax - better information and help without the fixed price.

Disappointing
This was easy to use but not impressed that it didn't tell me til the very end that I couldn't print and send! I have to print and copy it all out. I wouldn't have wasted my time if I knew I had to fill it out twice. Stupid.

Cannot submit online my first Tax Return
There is an unidentified inconsistency in the system that doesn't allow me to submit my tax return on the internet. I will have to mail it instead, and some friends are facing the same issue. This is a bit ridiculous, especially in times like these when people should avoid doing unnecessary things outside. A simple email should fix it like modern business usually does. If they need any confirmation, it should be done all electronically. After all, we are in the XXI century already.

Disappointed
I’ve used this product for years but disappointed this year. I stopped doing returns in late February when covid19 hit and government said filing could be delayed. When I came back in mid-May most of my previously entered data was missing. Not a quality experience

Horrible
The list at the left in the side bar should be highlighted. I did not even see it until after I already gave up looking for a place to enter T4A (P) and T4A (OAS). I went back and forth and finally the next day I saw a place to enter these amounts. Will not use again!

Not very intuitive
The price is right, but the approach and over all ease of filling in the information, leaves a lot to be desired. Frequent requests for expensive upgrades do nothing to improve the experience.
