Helpful Hints
Will I have to say that there were a few times where I needed help with my taxes and because I did not want to pay the extra fees I could not get the help. I also had a feeling that I would not get much in my return so that is another reason why I did not to pay for the extra fee to get help with filing our taxes. I am also wondering why my income tax return is becoming so low each year that I file. It has gotten to the point of why bother filing when the return is becoming really non existents and wreath me filing.

The sask gov't removed the monthly education credit, and there was no notice or indication of how to claim that. I will have to adjust my tax after I get my NOA

No Deductions Applicable
For some reason it put Employment Insurance Deduction (Box 18) as an overpayment, which it wasn't and therefore calculated the tax refund wrong.

After spending all this time-too late for assistance,but only downloaded pdf file-not one I can netfile--so now have to wait till tomorrow, to find out why I it did not save proper file .tax for Netfiling.

Poor navigability
The product is nicely finished and graphically pleasing, but navigating is atrocious. Fixing things is nearly impossible and there isn't enough help options. Not sure if the paid ones are worth it based on this...

What a waste of time
Did my return just to have it get stuck on the submit screen and not get sent off. I have to redo my return with a different service because this one won’t work. Why is this a business? Doing your taxes should be free anyway.

Too many annoyances
We had to repeat the whole process after trying to transfer tuition to a parent because it said it would charge us to do that! It would not let us undo this. Also, it kept bugging us to upgrade to various more expensive options.

Scam Robot
Your robot automatically changed me to deluxe mode and tried to charge me for nothing.
I was forced to refile because a human wouldnt fix it.
If you do not compensate me for my time I will file with another company once I pay a specialist

Terrible, no information
i paid for the full upgrade of turbotax to file my tax return. when i reached the part where i needed to be contacted i found that there is no option for overseas phone numbers and there was no mention of this prior to my paying $112 for absolutely nothing. there is no contact information to get a refund for this service that i havent used. complete scam, will never recommend to anyone

Steamy Garbage
They add so much filler garbage to their website that bogs down the browser. I don't need to see numbers rolling. Also it never files easily and properly. The whole concept of requiring to file is a capitalistic scheme. The government already has all this information, why do I need to send it in when they already have it.

"in progress"
Taxes that were filed months ago are still listed as "in progress". The process was completed. I have redone it several times. It will not let me complete the tax filing for John Lynch jr (Steven). This has caused a lot of issues.

extortion of vulnerable people
They take advantage of people living around or below the poverty line. They gatekeep detailed sections of your taxes and force you to pay if you want to see them / fill them out. This is extortion.

Unintuitive and Deceptive
After filling and reviewing, it constantly failed to file, and it showed no signs of errors or issues to show why it doesn't process through. It was simply stuck in the cycle of Pressing and returning to in-progress status.
After multiple tries i decided to check multiple methods of failsafe to check if i forgot something, at which point it went through to a page to accept the premium. I assumed i finally passed through the error and this is a page where it shows premium benefits and skips next. but instead, it immediately added me to a premium plan and redirected to the payment.
I could not roll back from this payment, and after searching for rollback, it was clear that the only solution is to delete the whole return and start everything all over from the beginning.
I moved on and filed with another app.

Turbotax is deteriorating
I've used Turbotax faithfully for over 15yrs. This year I'm considering switching elsewhere. The new format is very hard to navigate without the side menu, which allowed you to hop around to where you wanted to go. I also had taxes that qualified for the free service, but was forced to start a new return without transferring info from last year as the only way to continue without upgrading. I'm hoping Turbotax will take some cues and go back to what they used to be!

Bad review
The upgrade is not good. Hard to find links like CWB as an example. It should be designed to sign in with social insurance numbers too as a more sure secure way of accessing the previous files.
Overall displeased with the app.
Lastly when purchasing previous years application the required key numbers do not work and the reimbursement process makes you go in circles with a loss of funds because it’s set up not to get reimbursed. Just horrible Turbotax.

No longer a free program
This used to be a very good program and very easy to use, however, they made changes for the worse so you have no choice but upgrade.
And if you want to do anything more than put a T4 in, that is an upgrade too. For example if you want to claim any deductions like charitable donations, then you need to pay for the deluxe version.
