Worst experience ever
The system is broken. I had to opt into services that I wasn't using and reset them to $0.00 in order to not use them? I had to spend an hour on the phone with customer service on more than one occasion. When I was hung up on the first time, I had to start over from square one. My T2202 amounts were applied twice. I entered the same information on two separate returns and got two different results. The northern tax credit was applied to my account, even though I never opted into it. This has been a terrible experience, I will never use an intuit service again.

Worst Garbage Ever
This was atrocious. Incredible auto checking boxes and having the nerve to tell me the boxes were checked incorrectly. This is the most abysmal experience I have had; and I live in this frozen wasteland!
I will not be using TurboTax again. I would rather pull out all my teeth with a razor.

Difficult for Non-Residents
There is literally no help for non-residents. The online help does have some broken or dead links and therefore no help is actually given. I had to guess at what I was doing and it took quite a while to figure it out. Still I doubt I did it right.

I had had to use HR Block due to an issue with my email, Then I'd been sick for a few years so I thought this was the Turbo Tax of old where I once had a low income on a not -simplified return and at the end that made it free.
Instead I got the option of paying shove at me over and over again. I can't.
Plus I had trouble getting off page one as you don't even flag what's wrong.
I hate being this poor. I don't understand the reasoning that if you weren't offering free returns to the under 25 set some of whom likely have excellent income then perhaps you'd have an opt out of a dazzling array of paid services
Don't get me wrong I am happy I don't have to go to some mall But it was a terrible even anxiety producing experience and life is hard enough don't you think?
I'd love to have options or even the money t see if someone from Intuit can fix the fact the CRA no longer updates your address from the check so I haven't been able to start a disability savings account or due to another issue access an account I have but it disagrees.
You level of visual inaccessibility is also not okay as the industry standard for a secure form is not being able to copy and paste yet making a secure password if you can't see it isn't easy I did go to copy and paste which luckily worked or I'd have been in a horrible loop where I couldn't be sure what the first one was to replicate it until I give up and use something too insecure.
See if I had the money for all the things you kept recommending I'd obviously need glasses that the BC govt only allows every 3 years even if you are going blind so thanks for reminding me of 2 sucktastic things about being me.
Doing your taxes as an impoverished, disabled person shouldn't leave you sad and anxious.
Doing them with the Turbo Tax of old did not
I get that you need to earn money but I knew about you back when you could first do it with online tax software as I did the keeping everyone where I both lived and was exploited as work , virus free and cybersecure . I couldn't afford the tax software so when I had other options I was happy and for a few years you were a pleasure to file with as I knew that although I didn''t have a simple return you'd do the math at the end and then the next least expensive one would be comp'd
I did appreciate that very much and I knew enough people able to pay for your product that as the nerd people knew if you had some sort of referral program you'd know how this benefitted you as a lot of people I knew were still unaware they had options.
My nation devalues my even being alive . Disabled people are taking MAID over the misery and hunger and yet you guys go hey even after we see their current income keep reminding the of the two Canadas one for the able and one for the people who haven't been starved into blaming their disabilities for legislated misery.
I'd actually qualify for the govt doing it but they assume everyone can use a phone or this terrible experience could have not happened.

Worst Tax Experiences Ever
Your software has short changed my return by 1000.00 this tax season to the netfile, your tax software also massacred my R and D credit issuance. Good luck on trust in the future. This system has all but lost my resect as a consumer and business owner. Quality systems improvement required. I would not recommend this software to the ethical entrepreneur.

hard to use
if you have ANY deductions such as charitable donations, you will need to upgrade your free version to the deluxe! Then you may not qualify for the claim anyway, but at least you paid to find out!

Unfair to Seniors
Some seniors are poor, some are rich. Regardless to charge for tax returns because seniors had medical expenses or make a donation is not right. Unfair, please allow the seniors to file for free.

Every year I save a PDF copy. This year that wasn't an option. I do not want Intuit "saving my information for seven years" ripe for hacking; I want my information here on my computer and nowhere else.

Worst Experience Ever
I wanted to get the "25 & Under" promotion for the $0.00 service for the expert review. I am eligible and I started the process at 10:00PM EST March 31st (still within the promo timeframe). On the website, it said that after signing in, there will be a "DOB" verification that will be prompted. It never did. After struggling, I decided to contact the product "experts" at 11:30PM. Worst customer service ever. After 30 mins of going through the process and doing nothing, the "expert" magically told me that I had to go something entirely different AFTER MIDNIGHT and then tells me "Oh, it's after midnight now, the promotion won't apply". UTTERLY USELESS. After using TurboTax since 2017, next year I will be using Wealthsimple Tax.

The program incorrectly stated the free return was not possible and tries to force an upgrade. I just continued and was able to file for free.

this sux.. TurboTax cost me $647 du to THEIR error
Even though I put CERB in the required line TurboTax did not include that in my return (you can clearly see it in my line entries. As such I was penalized $647 because of failure to submit. I will be appealing but I don't need the grief or stress TT has cost me...

I completed my tax return and applied for it to be e-filed before the end of April 2021. To date, I have not received my refund and they are saying I never filed my Return for 2020. Now I'm trying to print my return to re-file and your program will not let me.

way too many steps

Unclear purchase

garbage
This software is going to cause my return to be late because it will not believe that I am not, nor ever have been self employed. This is going to cost me 5% of what i already owe to CRA which is a substantial sum of money. I intend to hold Tax responsible for expenses incurred because of this.
