Intentionally Confusing
Since tax sites like Turbotax make their money off of selling people subscription plans that offer more help and options, their websites are made to be intentionally confusing in order to goad frustrated customers into purchasing a subscription plan.

did not file
i have spent the last 4 days trying to file my taxes and every time it gives me the option to go back to file manager or sign out. whe i look up the problem it directs me to refile but i am never given the option of refiling on the page...very frustrated and can't find any solutions to my problem

Filed several months late due to incompetencies
I have used TurboTax for several years without issue. This year, I filled out all necessary blanks with scrutiny. I pressed enter to finish and send in my return, including paying the TurboTax fee using my credit card, thinking it was filed successfully. 3 months later, I realize I have not received my return into my bank account. I login to TurboTax seeing that my status is in progress, and the CRA website said that my return had not been received. When I clicked the "continue" button on my 2018 return, it brought me to a webpage that said "Thank you, please see your email for your confirmation". And the only other option was to exit the page. However, after several attempts to click the continue button, it finally brought me to the page that said "NetFile" which I then realized I had not filed at all. I am disappointed with this service as there was no warning that my file was incomplete and the webpage was completely broken, bringing me into a loop where I could not view if my return was filed or not. I am furious as I will have to be paying late fees due to this huge error and am now delayed for starting up my business as the lease requires to see my 2018 tax forms. I will be using another service in the upcoming years.

Doesn't have a NETFILE button
Took my money. Should have then prompted me to NETFILE or took me to the page to netfile. Here I thought my taxes were sent and they weren't!!!! You have to go to the top right and search NETFILE then it takes you to the page. Found this out by clicking the ? Help button.

Garbage Trash
Spent a month waiting for my tax return to finally realize that it was never actually sent because after going through the effort of filling out all of my information and denying a "pro" account a dozen times, the next logical step for TurboTax would be filing the actual return. Nope, turbotax doesn't operate logically, so I had to find the NETFILE page on my own after no help from any of your forums or web searches. My taxes are late and I will be doing my tax return elsewhere next time. This is absolute trash, not even worth the free membership

program turned terrible
had to restart multiple time because the program wouldnt let me fix a clear mistake. wouldnt let me use cra to apply online at the end of the session and wouldnt tell me why. in this day and age i have to mail it in. glad i didnt pay for this. enjoyed this product for years, will look at other options next year.

Doesn't let you submit
After I finished putting in all my taxes it checked and said there were no errors in my paper work but continuously rejected my file when I tried to submit it saying there was an error. I sat there for a good hour and have yet to find said error.

It wouldn’t print... wasted my time
I used the free version and sent the form to my email as my only option was to mail it and it didn’t send and it won’t send another therefore I am now late filing my taxes. Also I can’t call if you used the free version and not sure how to upgrade after

Complete failure
Support made promises which were not kept. Was able to enter all data, but TurboTax failed to file the return when instructed to do so, then promised to fix a problem they said they had. Didn't happen, and now I can't retrieve or even see my data, let alone print and paper file it.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I find that this new version is not user friendly. It takes me twice the time to prepare a return, also one cannot see the actual tax forms during the preparation phase. I will not use this software in future years.

I purchased standard version and throughout the 6 returns I prepared, I never stopped getting solicited, or upgraded , and in the end I just can`t get what I paid for. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better product

Problems Filing
I purchased the online standard edition for 8 returns and after filing returns for my wife and I I was prompted to pay for My daughters return. It said the activation code was'nt any good. After numerous tries with the help answers and e-mails I gave up and paid.
NOT VERY HAPPY ABOUT THAT

Why would anyone design onlline tax software that doesn't allow your INPUT DATA to be saved.
Well you can save a copy BEFORE you netfile, but you can't AFTERWARD - what the heck?

Irritating
It's fairly easy. What's irritating is how many things they try to sell you along the way. Also irritating is the pathways they force you through. When I got to the end it wasn't clear whether my return was filed.

Too many ads. Taking the free version meant it was difficult to answer questions. Very frustrating dealing with CPP info. Meant I had to file paper returns. Last year I was able to file electronically. No help In what to include or not include with mailing. Instead of shortening my time spent on tax return I spent more

Very bad degradation of service
Over the last year, the quality of the service has degraded very severely. For example, you told me that I can't file my taxes via NETFILE, so I have to print my form out and mail it to CRA. Yet the form I just downloaded has "duplicate do not mail to CRA". I can't resolve this issue that your app created without paying a fee. That's frankly user-hostile and aggressively poor value.

Watch Out!
I did my wife's return together with mine using the TT paid service. She has no income and doesn't have a CRA account. I exited, and then went back later to try and print my wife's return, bit it had disappeared. I had to waste time entering it again. If you do your wife's together with your own, and don't send it electronically, be sure to print it before you exit, because it will disappear! Thanks for nothing TT!
