Slowest ever
It’s been well over 3 weeks and I can’t even get an answer I was told it wouldn’t be long it’s kind of pathetic when they already know what I’m getting back ... every year my taxes never take more then a week after waiting this long I won’t recommend to anyone ... I think they just forget about some of their customers

Not telling me why I can't use NETFILE
It literally just said I can't use. That's it. And then linked me to a list of reasons on the CRA website, none of which ACTUALLY APPLIED TO ME. Garbage service.

uninformative
very basic program. does not tell you to click on netfile to actually file. when the return was finished it just said thank you. no warning that return was not netfiled. will never use this program again.

worst
filed 2017 and was ok. then filed 2018 and saved it. wouldnt save sales tax info and sent to cra saying it is 2017 again. now there will be errors. i double checked saved info and i did 2018 for sure. and it was not saved. i would not purchases only used free. major problems this year.

Turbo Tax was recommended by a friend as I am a first time on-line user and they advised it was easy as 1 - 2- 3. Well, I have been on this darn site for 2 hours now trying to get afew questions answered regarding my refund and fine it extremely frustrating, my question still not answered. NOT user friendly, DO NOT recommend to first time newbie like myself. All this site does is try to sell you packages you don't need. Same sales pitch over and over. Next year will try Simple Tax.

It used to be really good. This year's version is really buggy - for example:
1) You can't go back and see the "additional home" that you entered (Ontario Trillium Benefit form). If I go back to that section I could add an additional home multiple times without noticing, because clicking through the steps only shows me the first home.
2) Also the above section (Ontario Trillium Benefit), the wording is extremely poor:
“Enter the amount(s) paid for rent, property tax, home energy costs for a principal residence on a reserve, and/or accommodation in a public long-term care home.”
This sentence suggests one should enter the amount they paid for {rent, property tax, home energy costs} if they lived on a reserve or {accommodation} if they lived in a public long-term care home. The correct sense is: {rent} if you live anywhere, {property tax and home energy costs} if you live on reserve, and {accommodation} if you live in a public long-term care home.
This really needs to be fixed. I’m certain it’s depriving many people of their benefits.
3) There's no real way to see a summary of your information to verify its accuracy, except to download the full pdf of the forms, which is not easy to find. The review that you go through at the end is far too brief to be of any use.

Tax reassessment
Have been filing with TurboTax since 2014. Owed $3600 in back taxes, and had no idea. I just plugged my T4 into my T1, and sent it off every year... dutifully paying the amount TurboTax told me to.

Glitch
Turbo Tax 2016 was way better then Turbo Tax 2017 - 2017 was full of glitches, my PDF did not print out properly, I had to re-type my sin and postal code several times to move forward. 2016 was much better!

Confused
I don't know what's going on with my taxes but it says I can get my return in 4-6 weeks and I first filled my return back in Aug and still no response on my return. There's no communication and no one to answer questions if needed. This is terrible.

Not Free?
I thought TurboTax was free. I wouldn't have used it if I knew it cost money. Now I'll have to refile a different way.
I will never suggest to anyone to use TurbTax.
I got no tax refund from TurboTax.
TurboTax is like the worst virus I've ever had.

errors in my return
The program incorrectly auto-completed schedule 11, which resulted in a miscalculation of my income. Schedule 11 cannot be accessed manually, so this is a big problem for anyone reporting scholarship income.

After months of not receiving anything about my taxes I dont think turbo tax actually filed it and when I continue to look around for the file with netfile and try and follow he steps given thats not a option ANYWHERE on your website.

worst year ever for turbotax
I have used TurboTax since its inception and have always been very satisfied. It was so simple and easy to use.The 2017 version is terrible !! So much upselling. Trying to charge to file with the CRA ?? I lost all respect for this company and won't use them again.

Was great NOW HORRIBLE
Turbo tax once allowed you to do your taxes for free using the simple normal turbo tax, if you were low income. Now someone like myself who makes 11,800 in income and pays out 11,500 has to pay unless I am willing to use the more complicated likely to miss out on some savings opportunities free version. I used to do my taxes for free and I would help others do theirs and they would pay turbo tax for it. Now I will not help the other 10 people do their taxes just so turbo tax will not get the income.

BareBones
There is no helpfull information to help you figure out if you are eligible or even to explain what checking a box or button means. TT only offer the same 'dense' text descriptions as the CRA. I thought TT understood tax forms and could explain things to me as I go along but no such luck. I'm offer the same vague language as found on CRA site. Or worst you are directed to a CRA page directly from TT so you don't even bother to help your customer understand whats going on with some down-to earth descriptional text. You just send us packing to CRA pages. Booooo
As a result everytime I use TT (because I'm lazy and hate forms) I get reassessed. I'm considering in filling out the forms any old way and let the CRA correct it. That would be faster than trying to guess what your simplistic web form provides.

Most frustrating program
The program is easy to input information but when i did a couple return the first person i net filed worked. The spouse when i tried to netfile glitched and would not create the spouses .tax return so i had to print out the return and mail it. Please fix this problem. Also the program does not tell u that you cannot put a space between the postal code or any symbols in the address. I took all those things off and it still would not work. I is the first time in 26 years of doing returns that i could not net file for this error. I am very disappointed.
