Good product, except
The User Experience is good and the tax filing is process is like taking a survey.
On some screens, if you are paying a combined tax return for you and your spouse, the screen should show the name of the person at the top in big letters. It does on most screens, but on some screens its not big enough to easily recognize that this page is asking for x person's info.

More information needed
It was not clear how to make installment payments.
Not clear how to log in vs create new account
RRSP contributions current year vs previous year is not clear since you can contribute 60 days of current year hence I was not able to use the first 60 days of actual filing year. Better clearer wording is needed.

good but filing for deceased could be improved
I filed taxes, using this software, for my father who passed away in 2023. At the start, the software posts the choice: I am filing for myself OR I am filing for someone else. Once someone chooses that they are filing for someone else, I think the software should use different phrasing, ESPECIALLY for the deceased. I was unsure, until a tax specialist reviewed my return, that the software recognized that my father was deceased because of the way questions were phrased.

Very easy to use
The service was very easy to use and navigate and did the job. The only problem I had was that I didn't know that if it was my first time filing with Canada, I had to send it by mail, so I had to call the CRA and they let me know. It would be nice if TurboTax put a disclaimer at the filing stage to let people know that if it's their first time, they need to send their return by mail rather than through netfile.

Caution
My return is Simple and so should be free. TurboTax kept automatically providing me with options that i would have to pay for - Self-Employed (no, I'm not) and "Deluxe". The only way i could get out of them was to start all over again. Be careful.

Value for the money
Turbo tax is very easy to use and walks you threw every part of your return. If you have a very basic return the free fee works very well. The only little complaint I might have is that it keeps trying to upgrade you when its not needed.

Turbo Tax 2021 Online Review
TurboTax 2021 Free online version is good but it does not allow you to use transfer Tax info from last year (that is major drawback). If Intuit making available this free tool then it should include this feature to transfer Tax info from last year. It should also allow to save carry forward Tax info for next year and allow the client to download and save this info on his device (PC/Laptop)

Access Code Confusion
You ask for an Access Code which is supposed to be in the right hand top corner of the NOA. I assume the NOA stands for Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada. It's supposed to be 10 digits made up of letters and numbers. Mine is called Notice Details and has only 6 digits such as xxx xxx. That doesn't work. So where do I find this number? I just now found it on the notice for the Climate Assessment Refund Notice. You need to fix this as it's very confusing. What if I didn't get a Climate Assessment Refund? Nowhere else is this Access Code shown. Why not put it right on the Income tax so we know where to find it?

Free option for first tax filing
I opted for the free TurboTax version to file my taxes for the first time. This was a great option for me and the tax filing process was relatively simple and straightforward. While I do not previous filing taxes, I will say TurboTax is a good option for first-time users
