Not so easy to file
I am sure the paid version of this software makes it easier on the user to file. There are certain circumstances like having moved out of country difficult to file The help option provides relevant feedback but is still not clear in some instances. That being said, Turbotax at least has the option to file (through mail) when you are out of Canada,

Easy and quick!
I’ve used this for my taxes for at least 5 years. I find it very user friendly for the most part. Although now, I’m trying to look a a copy of last years tax return, but I’m having difficulty pulling it up to review and/or print.

No mac downloads. First time not on windows. Liked to do multiple taxes with one set fee. Just paid unsure if I can return for refund unaware of no mac downloads

Taxed Yet Again - But Not Difficult
Have used this income tax service in the past to complete my returns, however, I stopped using it when the price increased. Now I am back onboard and service continues to be as good as I remembered it 5-10 years ago.

Great tool
It is almost perfect!... but will be perfect if you can include other idioms on it, Canada is receiving every year people from around the world and you can reach them if you use others idioms.

Know Your Tax Law
Turbo tax works pretty well if you are familiar with tax law. It's easy to enter your information. The one place where it falls down is that it does not prompt you for all possible beneficial claims. When I filed for my spouse and myself, it did not ask about Pension Income Splitting, although it allowed me to do it once I looked it up.

Value for the money
I would recommend this software to most people with the average basic tax return. It is pretty self explanatory and better after filing a few times. Best think out there that is actually FREE. Especially when I owe this year. oowwwww

This works
I had difficulty entering the 10% extra credit for the Climate Incentive Credit after the fact, or even during the fact. I had difficulty adding bank charges under carrying charges when I realized it was not an option during the first go through.

Turbo Tax Purchase
I am a first time Turbo Tax user (tax year 2020). It took a few tries to get used to the program but managed to dovetail the Turbo tax return with my hard copy draft and come up with the same refund for my wife and I. Assuming we get the refund we calculated and are expecting I anticipate using Turbo Tax (Standard Online Edition) next tax year and into the future. Thank you.

I liked it but...
you told me last year that my information would be available on this years return... but you forced me to pay $ to have the convenience of it left that way. Basically, i had to choose to keep the information there for a fee, or face deletion if I didn't pay it. In the confirmation pages following my return submission, you said the same but I have no doubt i will have to pay to keep it that way.

Seems reliable and secure
We have used StudioTax for many years but prefer FREE software. So we switched to TurboTax for 2020. Though it took two attempts to create an account - once we got started, it was very straightforward to fill out. It took time, as taxes do, but we feel confident that we were able to input all of the appropriate and applicable information. The auto-fill function was a nice bonus for most of our values.

You're doing mostly great!
Fast, easy to use, detailed. My only quibbles are the carry-over info didn't work for me. It continually asked me for login info, then when I logged in it restarted the process.

Be prepared to look things up
While it's great to have the ability to file your own Returns with this Free product you must be able to look up (Google Search) anything you don't understand to see what it is. Intuit does offer within the software the ability to upgrade for a very reasonable fee to get help within the software. But if you need to keep this a free product you must be able to find explanations to your questions. There were only a couple that caused me to pause and look up.
