Great Software
Overall the experience was amazing. I love that you can do a little bit at a time and it will save all your information. Pretty easy to use for the average person with little background in tax laws :)

Two hours and I'm finished
Until last year I did our returns with a pen and a calculator. I became self-employed last year. Doing our taxes with TurboTax enabled me to continue doing our taxes. It's a fast and efficient way to do your taxes if your life isn't too complicated.

Easy and Functional for Small Business Owner
As a small business owner I really appreciate the ease of using TurboTax. The program guides me through all of the applicable places in my return and prompts me to look into expenses or income that might not be top of mind. I greatly appreciated that the software automatically calculates my portion of the partnership (expense and income) and the allowable portion of expenses such as meals. As a busy person I also really appreciate that I can save my return even mid-step and log in to work on it from the office or at home. TurboTax saves my sanity!

Pricey to add spouse, even when income is zero
I have a complicated return that has self-employed business income so it's worth paying the fee for my return. But my spouse's income was zero, and to do her return cost just as much as to do mine! Crazy. Her's should be much cheaper.

Always Simple to Use
As always Turbotax allowed me to complete two fairly complex tax returns in about 90 minutes. My only grumble is having to backtrack through several steps if you want to review something quickly.

Great Improvements

Worries were eased
My friend recommended this program. I was worried with a small consulting business on the side as well as my full time job it would be hard to find the write-offs I was hoping for. It was easy to use, and the program asks lots of questions along the way to make sure you don't miss any potential expenses to claim.

Been Using For Years
We've been using this program for years! We use it, my parents use it, my siblings and their spouses use it. And every year it gets easier to use. We love how user-friendly it is and how conveniently previous years' information is carried forward.
The only change we'd like to see is to make the donations carry-forward a little less awkward. Though we were happy to see how it's progressed from previous years! Like I said, every year it just gets easier and easier to use!

Easier Than I Thought to do Home Business Taxes
Save your money and do your taxes yourself. I was a bit daunted by the idea of doing my own taxes for my small business foe the first time, I even had an appointment with an accountant to have them done, but I thought I'd try first and see. It was really straight forward and the only stumble I did have was quickly answered by the interview system. Really pleased with Turbotax, I'll absolutely do it the same way next year.

Paid to save time!
It is so simple to be able to walk through step by step and see the results that I can expect on my return immediately displayed in the corner. I made up a spreadsheet based on the Turbo Tax headings to track my monthly business receipts and expenses and all I had to do was scroll through and enter the corresponding amounts. Super simple! Biggest secret though? The more I give, the more get back!
