easy to use

It's very easy to follow and makes doing taxes easy, even being a new business owner, I was able to go through the steps and understand the majority of the sections. Having the commonly asked questions was useful too.

Excellent tax program

Great Tax Product
I have been using Turbo TAx (formerly QuickTax) for a number of years now and wouldn't change. I find it easy to move around, especially this year, as they have changed things to make it easier to see what I need to imput. Thank you Turbo tax for helping me get my taxes completed.

Easy Peasy
I used to do my taxes with a pencil and calculator...probably missing things and what not. Turbo Tax makes it so simple...I just need a computer, my tax slips and all income or expense slips and this program does it all for me. Makes sure you know of tax saving stuff too. How awesome is that?? Thank you Turbo Tax for making my life so simple at a time that used to be stressful and wishing I were an accountant! ;o)

Easy, fast and head ache free!!!
I love how easy my tax return was. I did my personal tax, business tax and my wife and daughters. This was my first time trying this out. The last few years I was using another compeditors, but no more! This turbotax was AMAZING. I even had some fun with filling out the forms seeing the return amount go up. Fun, easy and fast!

Easy to use, beats doing it by paper!
I think TurboTax makes it easier to do taxes each year. The tips are very helpful if you have "warnings" and "red flags" on your return. This year they added a 24/7 customer support chat/phone help option, which is a blessing. Highly recommend using this.

FAN-TAS-TIC

Some Issues
The "File the return" button was greyed out. The screen indicates you need to pay to get to file. Got through on TF# to live agent "Joy" (great stress reducer!) who said to click the box to pay. Did so and we could select we had already paid (bought on-line program). Filed now. Relief! Thanks very much Joy!

Easy Return, poor value
Easy to use as I have used many times before, like that it automatically gets my CRA info for me. Seems expensive and tries to "trick" you into upgrading all the time. I asked for a review one year and they literally told me nothing. Make sure you check which return you are using in the upper left corner so you don't get a big bill at the end.

Missing Rental Income Splitting
The online version of TurboTax does not support automatically splitting rental income between spouses, which means that despite paying $70 per return, I am forced to perform tedious manual calculations to allocate rental income — a basic feature that competitors like H&R Block already offer, making their software a far better value for couples who co-own rental properties; if TurboTax does not add this essential functionality by next tax season, we will be switching to a competitor that does.

it's very nice. Helping me check list to fill tax fund. They recheck a lot LOL. However, just one thing I want to comment that in my case, I have to pay tax and I filled everything already but the website show " almost done " after I click " continue " the documents and I don't know which past I forgot to fill it. If you can improve the button or text to notice the part of the document that customers forgot to fill it that would be perfect.

Pretty good
I have used turbo tax for years. This year I needed some help which the chat could not provide. I did receive a prompt telephone call, but the person who was supposed to help me did not and I also had trouble understanding her. In the end I had to contact an accountant to supply the response which was not that difficult. Turbotax needs more trained people to respond to such questions.

Good Product
I've used the product for more than 20 years and it's a good product. However, I'm a little disappointed that the search button is removed and I couldn't search for a Form such as T1A to apply and use my Unused Non-Capital Loss.

On line and phone assistance
On line assistance is severely lacking, very poor assistance , got better answers using gemini.
Phone assistance was hit and miss, first experience was great, very knowledgeable and willing to assist my daughter with her tax filing and data entering questions. I used the phone assistance for my taxes and experienced the exact opposite, the individual was more interested in up selling me and when that didn't work, she grudgingly asked coworkers for a turbo tax software question regarding entering data.

Odd things in program
There should be a way to do sale of securities with my wife instead of having to fill everything once for me and once for my wife. There is already such a feature for rental properties and joint accounts with a broker.
I filled in zeros on form T776 indicating i have no short term income or expenses and it created an error which took one of your reps almost an hour to identify as the reason I could not file my return. Why does a zero cause a problem whereas not filling in anything works?
I also think there is a problem in the form T1135. I filled in amounts for foreign stocks held with a Canadian bank as foreign assets but i had to enter nothing in those boxes to be able to file my return.
Your rep was very helpful in finding my errors although I really think they are problems in features if your program, not errors on my part. I hope my comments will reach someone who can do something about them for next year.
