Incomplete CRA Import
I had two T4s in 2025. They were both visible in my CRA account before I started using your tax software to file my income tax. When your software imported my data from the CRA, it imported only one T4, even after I ran the import three times. I had to enter one manually. That's terrible!! That's what the software I paid for is supposed to do!!

Not Mac Friendly and Expensive
This was the first year using my Mac to do my taxes. I was not able to purchase my TurboTax from Costco as usual so I purchased online. The cost was triple than what I paid at costco to do 8 returns. I do taxes for myself, my wife and our 4 children. I now have to purchase seperate returns for the children and now the costs skyrocket. I also find multiple prompts for upgrades along the way. There was also no way to confirm if I'm getting Carbon Tax credits or any other credits for that matter. In the Costco purchased version I could confirm all of this. I am not sure if I needed to purchase the top version online to capture all this or what the case may be. I can honestly say I will investigating other options for my future tax returns. I used TurboTax previously for ease of use and affordability, value. Now I might as well have my accountant do the taxes as he charges about the same as it will cost my to purchase TurboTax online vs Costco. I am doing all the work plus paying a lot more money. I dare say this may be our parting year Intuit.

Confusing UI
I'm attempting to REFILE for a past tax year, and find the UI BAFFLING. For instance, I selected "view" to see my previously filed forms, and got this stupid #%^&ing survey instead.
And by "stupid" I don't just mean that I'm here answering survey questions. I mean the survey questions themselves. Why the F is "No Preference" an option for "Your Relationship"? Has TurboTax expanded into a dating service that I'm not aware of? This lack of attention to detail is concerning.

They changed the layout and you have to click on a side bar, whereas before it just walked you through it step by step. Have to keep dbl. checking if you did everything. Also before I could do all of my kids on the same one, and now you have to pay per person.

Over charged
I was overcharged for the service that I obtained and they wouldn't reduce the price. The option I was given was to Start Over! I was disappointed as I received no additional help or review of the Return. Online Turbo Tax has become very expensive so I will be buying the box from Staples next year.

This was a big step back
This year's Turbo Tax was a big step back. The format of the questions and the limited visibility on options and what is being calculated made doing taxes far more cumbersome than any previous year I can remember - and I have been using TurboTax for maybe 15 years or more. The change in costing from a single cost for me and my spouse to individual costs for each has essentially made it easier to go to HR Block or similar tax preparer. Likely the last year we will be using Turbo Tax.

Disappointed
The changes are not very nice! After using the Turbotax and Quicken Tax software for 10+ years I was not very pleased with "being held ransom" for every additional step and paying considerably more than previous years. Did not allow to use the coupon purchased at the store as in past years.

Not Impressed
Compared to the Self- Employed Turbo Tax 2023, I find that the 2024 version was different and not as user friendly. It was tough at times to have to navigate through the system when trying to go back to check something. The system never brought up medical expenses even though I had included that in my profile checklist at the beginning which made me have to go in and find it. To make it even more frustrating, there was no section under Medical Expenses where I had the ability to choose a 12 month claim period like there was last year nor was I directed to do that. I found that the 2024 version just wasn't worth it since it seems things have declined since last year and seem more difficult to navigate such as where to claim specific expenses, especially when there is a lot to consider with self-employment expenses. I'm not impressed Turbo Tax as I feel that an online tax platform should be user-friendly and easy to navigate through, especially since tax time can be stressful enough for people and we want to be able to trust that we are getting the most benefit out of our tax return.

Seems to keep getting worse each year
The user interface seems to keep getting more and more annoying each year, especially for self-employed businesses. Please add back the ability to navigate directly to forms and fields. Also, show me the line numbers where business expenses will go. And, please improve the GST quick method interface instructions.

The process could be more transparent and better explained at times. Often has glitches/errors that can cause further necessary research or confirmation. Frequent up-selling that feels a bit predatory at times. Some things work well but overall I think there's a ton of room for improvement that doesn't really happen year-to-year it seems.

Not clear
The online version is overly structured and complicated. You can't see what you are doing, cant track what is going on and it is hard to figure out what is happening. I absolutely hated using the online product and will be looking for something else next year

not user friendly
the forward movement through the pages did not happen. When there was something that nee4ded to be completed it did not take you back to the original return. I had to go back into it 3 times before I was finished. Been using Turbotax for years and this year it has been the worst ever.

This Program get worse and worse every year. It has been so "dummy downed" that it's become impossible to use fully.
I will never use this program again!
We're really not that stupid. Let us see the CRA forms as we progress to review and check before the complettion.

Very disappointing experience this year!
The new format is a major downgrade compared to previous years:
- Keeps throwing an error saying my country is the USA, and asks if it should switch to Canada — even though I selected Canada from the start.
- The new tab setup for spouses is confusing and not user-friendly. The previous layout was way better.
- The helpful "roadmap" showing progress through the return is gone — why remove something that worked so well?
- Worst of all, TurboTax failed to pull accurate data from our CRA accounts, forcing us to enter everything manually.
Unless TurboTax brings back the previous, more reliable format, I won’t be using it again. This was my last time with it in its current state.

Terrible Changes
The changes made on Turbo Tax this year made it very difficult to navigate and review things. There was nothing to the navigation bar that helped at all (what is the point of that big empty space on the left??) I will be looking for an alternative after over 35 years with Turbo Tax.

oversimplification
while trying to make things simple, turbotax makes it hard to quickly make any ammendments. an error in a particular entry doesn't tell you where it is - just spent 2 hours trying to find which entry in my 5008 didn't have a date. almost not worth the time savings. i preferred the list on the side to quickly get to where i wanted to go and they should show tables of your slips and entries to quickly view all of a given slip, not one at a time.

Takes Way Too Long!
This package is getting worse, and I don't find it's easy to use, or intuitive. The AI assistant is useless, and the overall process of filling out a return is terrible. I highly recommend that you use the download version you purchase from Costco or other retailers, rather than the cloud version.

Disappointed
Been using Turbo Tax for many years, sadly 2024 online version is deplorable. If you know the ins and outs of tax forms, it does not enable you to view anything. When entering and going back later to change something like a business expense, you must go through the entire business set up, can not get directly to a set page or form. They are controlling everything for you to use their experts. Very frustrating. Easier to go back to paper copy and mail in!!

Brutal software
Very frustrating experience this year with turbotax. After ~9 years using turbotax I found the changes they made this year to be very clunky and frustrating. Having to click through every part of every menu instead of being able jump directly to different parts of your return was very time consuming and annoying. I had to redo my returns 3x as random errors would duplicate forms on my return, but then not allow me to delete them.
