Online version difficult
I've been using TurboTax for years. This year I opted to use the online version because my wife started a small business. I found the online version very difficult to maneuver around and seemed to get caught in loops of having to answer the same questions twice before I could move on. Next year, I'll stick the download version for sure.

Gone downhill
I have been using TT for a decade or so. This year was by far the worst experience. For a start the incessant badgering of the user for upsell and evaluations is very distracting while doing ones return. Second the help section has been replaced with a supposed online paid support option. So a significant reduction in usefulness.

Hard to navigate
It's hard to go back to correct or check info, without having to go through tons of pages over and over again. And if you accidentally check that you have self-employment income, it's impossible to remove it and causes headaches later in the process. They need to fix it or they are losing this customer.

Not all forms filed
CRA contacted me and asked for a T2125 had a difficult time getting the form that was in the program even using the Help. I should easily be able to print anything from my tax return at any time. I'm not happy the CRA asked for a T2125 form when it should have been sent when I filed my taxes. NOT HAPPY

Not very user friendly
difficult to find the information I'm looking for. I did two tax returns and I can't tell if both were filed. I cannot tell if my wife's tax return is filed or not. It shouldn't be difficult to find that out

not as good as it used to be
I've been a turbotax user for about 10 years. This year the software changed a lot and became a lot more difficult to use than before. I'm considering looking for other software for the first time.

very confusing
I work at a full time job and I have a home based business, this turbo tax does not diferentiate the two unless you go back two or three times? I put in expenses thinking it was for my home based business and it was for my full time job?

Too expensive; frustrating to use
I used the CD version of TurboTax and CanTax for more than 20 years before converting to an Apple. Now I am forced to file online at three times the previous cost (for three returns) and I can't access information by line item on the actual return. I will be looking for a better option.

No forms view available :(
I want to be able to access the "forms" view feature but Turbo Tax online doesn't allow me to do so. The feature was available in the downloadable version of TurboTax software; I'm so disappointed about the loss of this feature I may have to switch to something different next year.

Constant up-sell was annoying. I could have paid the same amount for a real accountant and they would have been able to answer questions on the spot.

Lack of transparency and misleading
Turbotax Self-Employed starts by asking whether taxes are being done for self or self and spouse, without specifying additional cost for including spouse at the end, at which point it seems that there is no way to remove the spouse without starting over. Also, when asking both via e-mail and phone support, I was advised that there would be no fee for including my spouse's tax return along with mine.

Getting Worse
I've been using QuickTax/Turbotax for many and the quality and usability of the software has been declining steadily over the past couple of years.
I'm going to look for an accountant or different package next year.
My biggest [of many issues] is the limited links to CRA or other docs for explanation which are needed with the many obscure references to the tax code or vague definitions.

i wasted about 7 or 8 hrs trying to process and file but was using Firefox didn't know that was the problem now I know

Getting there!
With a few modifications in access to completed forms to allow review and editing during the entry portion of the program would help simplify and easier completion of each step of the calculation steps.
During entry of information the time out pop up appears to soon, delays in entry are usually during a time where information is difficult & causing a delay to client for several reasons, too many to mention.

Need help with the beginging
When I was starting to file I wanted to do my wife's by it self and mine by it self and it would not let me correct the issue

Turbo Tax 2012 Home and Business - One return
This was a terrible purchase. It's nothing like the other TurboTax software that I have bought in the past. I thought that because I only needed to prepare one tax return for 2012 that I would go with the cheaper version.... what a mistake. You can't save it like the other versions.... only in PDF which can't be edited at a future date. The 2013 version won't upload the information from it so now I have to manually put it in. Aaarrrrg!

Very frustrating to use, no forms view online
I was very disappointed that there is no "forms view" on the online version. So frustrating, and a waste of time to have to go through all the steps over and over when I could have entered all the numbers in the form myself. I use a tax program to save myself having to figure all the calculations, and it nice to be able to see a running total, but I would rather do it by hand than have to do it this "interview" way!! I must have used the downloaded version last year, and didn't know this was the only way to do it!!
Also, I was unable to import my previous year's tax infomation which was also very frustrating. In looking at other user's comment/questions, this was a problem for many many people, and should have been fixed. Especially by the time I did my taxes for the June 15th deadline!!

I do not like this online program for MAC. It is very difficult to use and you're not able to key in amounts easily like the CD for PC. Please make a CD the same as you have for PC but make it for a MAC

Disappointed this year
There is a glitch in the webware that was very frustrating. I looked at the common conversation regarding putting the right Industry Code in the system and it simply didn't work WHICH prevented filing. I'm not sure if I put down the right industry code in the end, which again is frustrating. Too bad. I had enjoyed using Turbo Tax last year, but am not sure if I will use it next filing season.

So Much Room For Improvement!
I keep coming back to Intuit tax products hoping that they will make the obvious improvements needed to be user friendly. Every year I am frustrated and dissapointed. I don't try others because it is convenient to import my info from last year and Intuit seems to be th emost polished and professional option out there. I wish they would look at all of the unanswered and poorly answered questions posted and address the reasons for the pervasive confusion of users.

My Experience not great moving from PC to Mac
A few years ago we were using a PC based version of (then) QuickTax. We have moved to a Mac computer and have been very frustrated with the Online version of (now) TurboTax. Some features that do not work as well:
- inability to go to a specific Line No.
- Inability to move around without following mandatory prompts.
- Inability to immediately switch from one spouse to the other.
-Inconsistencies in TurboTax wording of certain deductibles (eg. Professional fees)

Many areas unclear
Its a shame that Intuit does put some proper resources into making sure that all the descriptions are detailed, and that all the take you there menus cover all aspects of the software.
