Frustrating and Buggy
Last year we swore this was the last year for Turbo Tax, but we were assured that all the bugs had been fixed and we keep getting suckered in by the fact that we don't want to start from scratch with a new software. Yeah, it was better than last year but still had huge issues with Netfiling. Help desk actually helped, only took about 30 minutes but it's crazy that the same issues are coming up year after year and not getting fixed before releasing next years' software. Not only that, their prices are higher than all the rest. Hopefully next year I'll have the guts to walk away.

Hard to navigate & incomplete descriptions
Apart from the fact I used it in previous years, there is not a lot I like about turbo Tax; its menus are not intuitive to get around, and do not give full coverage of all the actual parts of the package.
The Community help is one of the most confused and messy forums I've ever seen.
you'd think with all the users of the software Intuit would get it right, but they just don't seem to care.

TurboTax for Mac Computers
A huge fan of QuickTax/TurboTax for as long as it has been available, I was very discouraged, frustrated and disappointed with the limitations imposed upon the Mac version. I no longer have a PC available to me (by choice) and may not use the program in the future if these issues are not available in 2013 - most importantly, access to forms for manually completing my taxes, downloadable software rather than just an online format.
Even the questions below are inappropriate for me, e.g.:
- why QuickTax but no TurboTax
- I both own and rent
- I have carry-forward self-employment income but am not now self-employed

Helpful, but not there yet
I found the Home & Business return cumbersome. The individual return is SO EASY and clear with intuit, I was disappointed that the home & business portion was difficult.

Getting worse
This year was the worst ever for using Turbo Tax - right from the beginning I got lots of errors trying to carry forward last years info, and at the end, they tried to make me pay twice, when I finally got my "credit" code, it didn't even ask me for more money. Really frustrating this year. What normally takes one evening to do got spread out over most of a month.
I will try again next year, but I get the same - thats the end of turbo tax!

The software makes me very nervous. For example, I entered a medical plan in the t4 entires and ever made any other medical plan entry. And yet, when I came to the review I had a warning and it was due to the fact that it had been entered again elsewhere - not by me.
When I read my wife's bottom line data the document has her numbers but my name at the top, as though it was my review.
When these things happen it makes one wonder, "What else is not working right? and is it something costing me money?"

Your Help tab
Pressing the HELP tab or clicking on the learn more feature simply results in a message that the internet connection has been lost and I'm asked to Diagnose the problem. But I am able to continue on through the entire program. however I will not complete filing until this Help feature is resolved and working.

CONFUSING TO MANOUVER
I am used to the downloaded version so I didn't like that you couldn't double click a field to find how the numbers were calculated on the original form. I like seeing the actual form and being able to look the form up.
I did have some questions and the technical support staff was very patient and thorough.

frustrating
I still haven't been able to find the retuyrn I did and still need to netfile. Something happened while I was getting ready to input the access code and the webpage was unavailable. when I tried later, my info was gone.

Disappointed
Very disappointed with Intuit this year. Went to start filing my taxes at 9:00pm this evening. Had previously saved a good portion of my return only to receive a message that the servers were too busy for me to login. When I finally did get logged in, I entered some additional data only to have my web session bomb out with an error. Intuit, you really need to look into your infrastructure to figure out how to get the appropriate capacity to handle the influx of users on filing night.

TurboTax Online does not compare with desktop vers
I used the desktop version for years and loved it. Because I switched to Mac, I had to switch to this horrible online version. Slow update at every entry. Impossible tak if you need correcting a field. Horrible flow (step by step) cannot go firectly to a field, cannot call forms directly. A nightmare

How Manny Asprins did you take.
This has been one of the most frustrating programs i have ever used. If you keep searching everything is somewhere but getting there is not easy.
2010 return was a breeze this year not so.

Glitches?
Several glitches in the software that seems to be avoidable. Minor irritants turned out to be a lot of lost time. Perhaps I should bill TurboTax for my lost time.

Is this user friendly?
Folks, this is one of the most frustrating systems I've ever used. Now I'm no accountant but I have average skills and this thing is tripping me up all over the place.
The simplist matters like filing my spouses at the same time...45 mins online and still no resolution.
I could go on and on but don't want to waste anymore time.

Where are the forms?
It would be helpful if you could find the blank forms you need without having to go through so many steps and questions. I know how to fill out the forms, and find it very annoying to have to answers prompting questions to enter the information.

Where are the forms
Not being able to access forms directly is pretty lame. The "flag" feature is perhaps meant to help here, but it's really time consuming and annoying being forced to wade through to find line items you want to go back to.

Could not File With Revenue QC
I had to send my wife Revenue Qc by mail as the software (web version) could not file it despite several calls to online support (she is autonomous worker) - I have asked for refund but I will have to call again I guess

I completed my taxes and when I went to efile the software said I had to correct information regarding short term rental expenses. I do not have any so I requested a call from support and the agent that called was unable to help. He said he would refer me to the escalation team and they would be in touch to resolve the issue. No one ever called. Unable to efile I had to print the return and mail it. I will not use Turbo Tax again.

New interface is terrible
I have been using TurboTax for about 15 years now and this is god awful. Very difficult to use, not intuitive, and hard to go back to correct things. The process is not linear.

Failed to carry over previous year's data
I have used TurboTax for many years online; it has always carried over previous years' data, and my personal data. This year, it shows my previous returns, and nothing had changed this year. But I had to re-enter basic data, such as my address, and my automobile information. Additionally, the format for entering expenses for home employment were considerably different than in previous years, requiring me to reconfigure the spreadsheets that I had created and used for years, which took hours to do.
Ridiculous.

Cant autofill, no live help for software issues
Very disappointed the autofill wont work. There is no way to discuss issues with the software with anyone and the internet did not have the correct answers. The pop up box for logging into the CRA cannot be enlarged so it’s useable. IT IS NOT MY LAPTOP, as I tried EVERY fix I could find on the internet and Apple
