this years intuit turbotax is a mess
where is the forms option I have been used to for the past 20 years and the graphical tax summary on the left side.like i said i bought this program for 20 years but the last unless they bring back the forms. its ok if you have a simple tax return ,I have used the self employed version which should give you more flexability ie:form view. also no way to contact intuit , no phone no or email

trap you into buying more expensive product
I purchased the deluxe online edition. I had questions on a t4 i was entering for my daughter. clicked on the self employment tab to explore if I would be required to use the self employment package, turns out it wasnt required but I couldnt send the returns of her and her husband without purchasing the 120.00 selfemployment software. I have been using turbo tax for 6 years. this will be the very last

Charged me 3 times
Every time I tried to correct my return or restart it. It took me to the payment page. The code from my previous credit card bill did not work and the window for activation code took me into an endless loop. So I had no choice but to pay again. I dont know if this is a scam or a defect in the program.

worst product ever
Its not easy to use, I tried to netfile twice that didn't work, then I tried to print it off and it came up with a copy that said do not submit. I guess I have to use ufile now?

I have used this produce for a decade and i cant print my paper copy to send to the government. i spent hours looking and you made it impossible to access something so simple!!!!!!

Worst Tax Platform Ever
With ZERO NAVIGATION on left side, we spent hours going round in circles trying to find specific categories. We had to start from scratch numerous times. We had a very hard time finding pages for our info, whether Income or Expenses. We have used TurboTax for years and it gets WORSE every year. We are NOT IMPRESSED with the platform structure, especially when there's no navigation on left side. Very, very disappointed in this product!! We might NOT use it for 2024.

Terrible for Non Residents
When filing as a non-resident at no point does TurboTax tell you at you cannot NETFILE as a non resident. They only provide this information after you have completed filing and paid, which is completely misleading.

Questionable inclusion and no ready means to pause
For NO reason that I can understand, and I was not able to learn, the Worker's compensation .& social assistance, which I did not receive, of $13,796. was added onto my Total Income, and then taken off as Taxable income!?? I was too stunned to see the balance owing that I didn't find a way to end my session to go over it later and submitted it to let the CRA sort it out. Hugely DISAPPOINTED WITH TURBO TAX THIS YEAR!

Total price gouging
Discount offer of 20% was not able to access,then rental income now classed as self employed tax filing. So previous years cost was approx $60 now $134.40. Will not be using next year!!!

The self- employed tax software is very difficult
The self-employed software was difficult to manoeuvre and manage. I would not recommend this software. Next time, I will buy the basic tax software that is very good, easy to use, and is a lot cheaper in price than the self-employed version.

PROBLEMATIC
After having used this product for many years, I was extremely disappointed and annoyed that when using it for the 2023 tax year, I was forced to falsely use the small business option in order to finalize my return. I do NOT own a small business and never have. Consequently, the price was FOUR TIMES what was advertised. Not impressed and consider this to be false advertising and a scam.

Never Again
Having used TurboTax for many years I did not expect to fight a constant battle to complete this year's return. First I found no way not to use the Self-Employed return. (I am no longer self-employed.) Then it was a constant battle of going back through many screens just to keep on entering. Filing my return is enough of a challenge without having to fight TurboTax every step of the way. Never again.

Bad experience
I did my tax 2023 through Turbotax and my return was CAD 3300 as the program said.
However, today CRA told me the return is CAD 1300. I'm so disappointed.
it was a troubling experience with you.
I recommend all my friends don't use you anymore.

Money grab
Returns are charged per person jointly however both filing jointly are charged the higher return package even though one return is a standard return. No one to speak to about which package is best suited for our returns. Joint return cost me more than local service and you can speak to them. Turbo tax provides software for inflated price. No service. Speak to someone need to pay $60 extra.

Rip off
I have been using quite tax for over 12 years and every year it gets more expensive. After doing my taxes every year with nothing changing in my tax situation I was forced to upgrade to small business and increased the price to $165 dollars. As I had completed my taxes and you pay at the end it was not an option to start over with another product. You have lost a long time customer!!

Worst greedy platform ever
This platform has been increasing its prices like crazy for the same crappy service. Always want us to purchase more. How about you do your basic job first that you have been built for. I have a rental apartment that I share with my husband and I filed the income under his name and you failed to warn me that I put the expenses of this rental under my name by mistake. Now my assessment has been held hostage by the CRA for more than 45 days for this stupid mistake even though I have the documents to support the expenses. Stupid platform should’ve warned me of this mistake rather than the other stupid non important warning they kept flagging.

Rip Off
I did not like being FORCED to use the self employed version, for both returns, at much higher cost, just because one of us had a bit of rental income. This was new this year and I consider it a rip off.

Too expensive
I will not use this ever again. For a basic return with 3 T4s it cost me $50. Way too much. It used to be free or $20 it it just keeps going up and they are doing less

Forced "upgrade"
I have been using QuickTax and TurboTax for many years. It seems like every year some features get removed while the price is increased. This year, with the exact same info as previous years, I was pushed into the "Self-Employed" price bracket for some reason. This disappointing forced upgrade is making me consider other options.
