Terrible On Multiple Levels
This is the first I've needed TurboTax to do any real work for me, and it failed on all sides - features offered in the Self-Employed Version, transparency in how it actually interfaces with the federal tax forms, and horrendous and incomplete customer service when I actually had problems. I'll never use it again

the student tuition functions are absolutely horrible.
the fact that one cannot see a full version T1 form and print as pdf is terrible.
This version of the application has decreased in usefulness.

no discount when advertised
First, not great for small business. Extra cost but really limited information, you have to ask for help and not available late at night when I have time to do my taxes. Second, they advertised a discount and non given at checkout and no way to address it.

TurboTax for Mac is So Not for Mac!!
I have used TurboTax for many years and been more than satisfied. This year however, I had to transfer to my Mac and was SOOOOO disappointed. I do not like that the software is on-line only. It does not let me view the whole return and click on any item of interest. It is not easy to navigate, and in fact if you make a "wrong" choice near the beginning, you cannot only Not redo it, you have to start all over again with a different login account!! Ridiculous.
Mac is usually easy, intuitive, and very user friendly. I had much higher expectations for your software. If you don't develop a downloadable version that is more like the PC version, I will have to change companies.

very hard to get an overall view of my return, the tabs and step by step thing is very very confusing and I have no way to review in one place that everything is entered properly.

Really frustrating
This year's version is extremely frustrating. I had to purchase home and business version even though I have only a small amount of professional income, so my cost to purchase almost doubled. Hard to get to some entries. I'd really like the format to go back to where you see spouse and self refund/payments separate and easier to toggle between the two returns. Also, the transit pass entries should be separate by person.

Better before
The downloadable version was better. I've used QuickTax and then Turbo tax for 16 years but will look at other software next year. This year, for some reason, it said that I had medical bills of over 100,000!! I'm trying to figure out how that happened and am having a dificult time trying to find that in this version of the software.

Worst software ever
Online Turbotax for MAC users is awful to use. You cannot access a specific form at all! You can only access a round of questions that you have to go through before you can enter an amount. Bad, bad, bad. Some of us have done our taxes the same way for many years and know which forms we need to fill out and where they are! You don't get to see your actual return until the very last pre-automated steps!

Embarrassing product for the 21st century
This software feels like it was created in the late 90s. The user experience is awful. Navigating the interface feels clunky, unresponsive, and is confusing. Attempts to make the whole experience like a walk-through wizard just exasperate the interface problems since they often will only obscure what is actually going on under the hood.
Will be looking for a different product next year.

Lousy Software
They should have made it clear from the beginning that I could not access the forms directly on the online version like I could on the cd version. I bought a mac and it is the only reason i used the online version. It is terrible, i cannot complete my taxes properly, wasted time, bought the software, and am stuck.

Temporary Office Workers Can't Use This Product
The federal government has decided that temporary office workers are now self-employed, and this is apparently news to TurboTax, since as a temporary office worker, I was not able to Netfile my taxes (I kept getting an error related to an Employment Insurance agreement with the federal government that I don't have). After multiple calls to TurboTax, I just printed my return to mail it. Unless they fix this problem, temps won't be able to use this product.

Scare tactics used to sell audit defence
A 'glitch' in the turbotax software for 2012 shows EVERYONE as being vulnerable to an audit for having over 5% of their income as medical expenses. This shows up for EVERYONE, right when they try to upsell you an audit defence package. I've used turbotax for years and will reconsider my loyalty in light of this unfair and coercive 'sales' tactic.

Waste of Money
I have been happy with this product in the past, however, I am extremely disappointed in the changes this year which prevent my prior year data from being carried forward. I see that dozens of other posters have encountered the same problem, and there is no fix available. I am 100% dissatisfied with the program and will not be using this again in the future.

Self-employed-excruciating waste of time
I just spent 3 hours trying to "fix" the return my husband attempted to do before April 30.
He sells computers. I could not find any place to record the cost of the equipment he sells. I could find no way to enter inventory and sales revenue. The only place to enter income was under professional fees.
Phone support was unavailable.
We had to spend $39.95 just to print the return so we could take it to an accountant to have it fixed.
I have used this product for my personal return but ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend it for self employed persons.

Incredibly poor
I bought a CD version only to find that there is no way I can transfer information from last year's online return to this year CD return. This is contrary to the instructions on the web site. Now I will file late as I wasted two hours trying to figure it out.

less choice for Mac users
As a TurboTax user for several years, I have appreciated the flexibility to use either the step by step, or line by line options. I vastly prefer the line by line option. Sadly, this seems to be missing from the online version, which is all that is available for Mac users at this time. I was also unable to enter any relevant information re my spouse, without completing both of our returns online. Too little flexibility! Since I have no intention of returning to Windows, I guess I'll be saying goodbye to TurboTax next year.

Extremely cumbersome
I find this online version extremely cumbersome because I am unable to access the actual tax forms, and need to troll through completed pages to find what I need...only to discover it has added unrequired pages...which then need deletion.
The online version is ambiguous, lacks clarity, and Help is minimal at best.
I have used QuickTax/TurboTax for years, and will return to the installed version, but the online version needs improvement.

Intuit have failed their own culture of ease of use and simple. OMG. this is the worst sign up and access issue i've had in a long time. doubly so because it's from a company who has a reputation of making it easy. cant get to me 2010 return. had issues logging in. and i'm not alone according to the forum's.

Had lots of problems this year with on line version, had to do it all twice because it lost my info, new username/pwd, then it locked me out for over a week until it was fixed. I have been using this product for years and next year will not be purchasing.

Horrible!
I will search for a new tax software package as this is extremely frustrating.
1. I can't import 2010 data.
2. I can't review my taxes so that I can get my net income. My wife needs this to do her taxes! "Interview Error" is the message that pops up.
