Excellent, but 1 annoyance
This is my 7th year of using TurboTax, and I am extremely satisfied with the process and outcome.
However, there is 1 annoying part of the process, that requires better coordination between TurboTax and CRA.
The Autofill process is a good idea, but CRA needs to provide more complete coverage of the data they have received (Txxx forms).
In particular, the sale of shares through investment management companies generates a need for Gain/Loss reporting on Schedule 3. CRA downloaded T5008 forms, with 1 form for each share sale. CRA knows everything except the Adjusted Cost Base, but TurboTax didn't make it easy for me. They should have suggested that I enter the data myself on the Schedule 3 form. For filling in the T5008 missing (hidden?) data TT presented me only the name of the share and the sale value and I had to hunt for the specific transaction and enter the rest of the information 1 painful bit at a time. CRA stopped at 30 transactions, and I had to fill in the remaining transactions in Schedule 3. That felt like a breeze compared to the T5008 process. I cursed the lost time, and had to explain to my wife why I was so grumpy.
Apart from that, it was the usual great process.

Optimizers are very good, and save me making which option to choose. Comprehensive for my needs. Would like to be able to navigate easier within the menu e.g. checking medical expenses several times took longer than necessary.

Great and easy-to-use software
I tried both "easy steps" and "forms" methods of completing the tax return for 2016 and both are super easy and well structured. User friendly, easy to fill in.
One downturn (or maybe I just did not find the location of) - the names of the lines are not "linked" to "help" menu which slows the process quite a bit. This is the only suggestion for improving the software, otherwise is amazing.

Good Value for Money
Format change from last year's software made navigation more difficult. A lot more details are now provided with the EasyStep process which in the end did not really simplify matters.
That said, it is still very good value for money and probably the only way a layman could navigate through the tax forms.

Help is not Perfect
I clicked the teacher coaching button going through the 'easy step' process, but later I couldn't remember if I had done so. I tried several search ways to get to that screen, and could not find it.
In the end, under the Review, I think, I saw it was clicked, but I would have liked the Search feature to get me to that screen. There are no others (I think) with the word 'coaching' on them.
Even if I had to look at a few pages, that would have been fine.

Very Easy To Use
Had good success using turbo tax this year doing 3 general returns and 1 business. Had some trouble 3 years ago but stuck it out and realized that the computer I was using couldn't accommodate turbo tax well. I've been using turbo tax for about 10 years now with success---e-file has been made much easier this year.

Comprehensive, reliable and fairly straightforward
I have been using Turbo-tax since 1987, in both the US and Canada). It's Help function could be improved to be more user friendly and less bureaucratic (non-technical definitions of arcane, tax-related terms, and an explanation of some of the more convoluted line entries on tax forms, would help). However, for someone who is operating as a small business owner, I can't imagine how I could manage my tax preparation without this software. It is comprehensive and utterly reliable, and relatively easy to learn.

Super Easy

Self employed
I have been using turbo tax for many years now to claim my self employed business, the first year was stress of course but when are taxes not stressful. But every since that first year using the program has been quick and easy. Best software for tax return
I have used turbo tax for a long time (since 2004) all i can say is that it makes the process of doing tax returns easy. The price isn't too bad and all the data you are dealing with is kept private on your own computer. plus if you use the product year after year, it knows about numbers from prior years and can make the process simpler by not having to input as much data. Great product, i only wish the home and business version was the same price as the basic.
