Very thorough
Very thorough product, although sometime difficult to navigate (i.e.: lots of clicking the "continue" or "back" buttons.)
Have used this for years on some seemingly difficult returns and has always completed them flawlessly (our 2 CA friends have validated).

Wouldn't use anything else
Have used Turbo for many years. One year I was unable to find one in town so purchased another Tax Program and it went in the garbage soon after! Then jumped in the car and went to a nearby City and picked up Turbo Tax. Love it!

Simple and Efficient
Using this program for years has enabled me to have some continuity in preparing my taxes year to year. Basic information is carried over saving time and bother. Only required fields are to be completed according to easily understood instructions. Netfile procedure is now so simplified, it is a worthy purchase.
I am pleased to recommend this product to others.

Easy to Use
I found TurboTax extremely easy to use. It was helpful to navigate between panes, going back and forth when I needed to review and/or change something. I also found I was learning along the way. I think the only issue I had was getting QuickBooks to hook up to TurboTax, but after some extensive help by the online help people, I only have my inexperience with QuickBooks to blame. The amounts were correct though, so printing off my reports, I manually entered my information which was quite easy in itself!

Great Product with Great Support
Everything is excellent. The only issue I encountered was concerning if you owe and you don't have an automatic option to mail it in. You are only provided an option to choose a payment method even though you want to mail it in later with a cheque to CRA. Maybe this can be fixed for next year. There's a workaround but I had to call.

I have used this product for several years now and find it to be a very cost effective tool for maximizing tax refunds. I complete the tax returns for everyone in my family and find the helpful hints and recommendations for maximizing the refund for each person's return extremely beneficial.

simple, cost effective
I have used TurboTax for several years and switched versions this year due to self-employment. It has always provided a simple, easy to follow format through which I just plug in the numbers. It's easier than going to a service because if I forget something, I can make changes as I go along. No special knowledge necessary. The advantage over going to a service is that I learn a lot by doing it myself and it probably costs less. The only drawback with the version I used this year is that the Netfile option wasn't as clear as in the past. I had to loop through the filing process several times before I was able to finally submit.

QuickTax the best
I have used QuickTax for years for our family. Our youngest son is now using it himself and has found it is so easy. A great way for young adults to learn doing taxes shouldn't be scary. Since we retired it is even easier to manage.

Self Employed
While most of the Turbo Tax process is excellent, I have always had difficulties inputting self-employment costs. Until this year, I was putting them under Employment expenses. While this always worked, it was not correct. There needs to be a better way to guide us simple people through the employment/self employment income and expenses to get the correct costs in the right places. I did it by necessity this year because I could not Netfile until I got things in their correct places. I will know for the future.

This software is well worth the investment to make sure you report everything you should, claim everything you can and document it properly. You need to pay what you need to pay, but you don't want to pay more than you need to.

I feel well supported
I have been using TurboTax and QuickTax since 2001. I have self-employment earnings, pensions and rental property to declare on. Throughout the years I have found the product easier to use, yet more explanations and details are now available to clarify. However, I would hope the company would endeavour to make the product even more user friendly. It would be useful to have a summary of the changes that have been implemented since the previous year. I would also hope that the company takes the time to look at the questions being asked as a measure on how to better direct customers without having them ask questions, which it seems to me, are often answered by anyone that thinks they are experts!
