I have 26" monitor and descriptions on top are very small on bottom also.
Can not zoom with main tables.
Calculator disappear when touch calculated value.

A user for many years
Turbo tax organizes one's tax info into a systematic method so you can always return and change if necessary information. It also automatically transfers information that can reduce one's legally taxes owed. Of course one has to understand a bit of tax information and forms to correctly allocate one's information and numbers.

Great for home and small business
Fairly easy to use, does calculations for home business. More simple than having an accountant and also makes you more aware of your earnings.

Restriction on the number of Foreign slips
Please increase the number of available Foreign slip entries in the Schedule 4 - Supplementary statement. Currently it is limited to only 20 entries, while the half of the S4-SUPP page is still not used. Each year I have more than 20 Foreign slips.

Makes Tax Season Easier
I've been using TurboTax for a number of years and quite honestly just love it. I use Easy Fill and the software is easy to use and they have great support. I would give it a 5 star but it's not quite perfect. A few little things you need to take care with. It perfectly downloads info from the CRA into your file, however you have to be careful if the information was in a foreign currency. You need to go in and manually change it. No big deal, but would be nice if a warning popped up. All in all great and easy to use. I am thankful for it.

In the Introduction section there was a question about whether or not I disposed of principal residence. I answered no. When my tax form was completed, it included the Principal Residence Designation Worksheet that does not apply to my situation. It should not have been included.

Even I can do it
Doing a business return can seem daunting but with Turbo Tax even I can do it..just follow the information trail. The steps get easier each year and I appreciate that. The tax laws are ever changing and Turbo Tax is always updated. thank you.

I find the software very straightforward and organized. The prompts ensure I don't miss anything. I have been a faithful Turbotax user for 15 years. As a small business owner, it's the only way I want to file my taxes.

FORMS
I use the Personal Profile to save time. Only problem is when you fill in Expenses for a business, you cannot enter any words in the (Other Expenses - specify) line in Part 5 - Net Income Before Adjustments section. You have to go into "FORMS" and manually enter it and you shouldn't have to do that

Planning at it's best
I have purchased Turbo Tax in January for the last 12+years. The RRSP wizard alone make this worth every penny. I do share a business with my spouse the only thing I do not like is that I have to re-enter all the business info from one return to the second return. It would be a huge benefit if Turbo tax would automatically load the information from one business profile to the spouse's return.

Improving
I do have to say that in the last 5 years that I have used Turbo Tax it has improved every year. There have been a lot of changes in my family in the last 4 years with kids getting older and some of them now able to do their own tax returns. And also me having to manage my own self-employed business alongside my personal household has been tricky. So Turbo Tax has really stepped up to the plate to make concepts and terms way more understandable. Thank you so much for your continued help for rookies like me.

Net file
I printed the return so I could keep a copy, but after printing it does not then give me the option of Net filing the return.
It seems to me that it used to do this automatically...now i have to search for the Net File icon.
Not an advance in "ease of use".

TT stuggles with more complex files
I have a dependent Mother and started a short term rental in my home....both issues caused inappropriate decisions by TT creating further complications and uncertainty in my file

Good but not Great
1.I could not register the product, because the input screen was so far off alignment, that I could not read the instructions.
2. I was not prompted to autofill last year's tax return. That's an option found under "file" heading, but I did not discover this until too late. This should be part of the software automatically.
3. For business expenses, there is no option to claim telephone costs directly, if also claiming business use for part of my house. Phone bills should not be included in the utilities treatment, as many professionals have large business phone bills.
4. The explanations for complicated items like "net capital loss carryback" should be reworded to explain things more clearly.

Why NOT Mac
Why??? I am a long time (many years) user, but I am a MAC user & do NOT want to be forced to use my very old Windows laptop from the closet. You will lose me if a good Tax program for Mac becomes available. I have been asking for 5-6 yrs now. Hurry!!!

It is fairly easy to use, but could not figure out why the refund amount changed once in a while - lesser amount. I did not think I had changed any input, but the refund decreased . Not totally user friendly, but overall not bad

Convenient and straightforward
I enjoy using this product year over year as it is straightforward and reliable. One issue only this year--the page that asks you to choose electronic mail from CRA or sticking with paper lacks an option for those of us already registered with CRA for electronic mail (likely most users).

This is a good product. I buy one of the versions every year.
In the way of constructive feedback, the direction on Business Income and inclusion/exclusion of GST/HST and the calculations around that is not at all clear.
The comments I found in the Community directly conflicted with the "Learn More" in the product and so I was left completely at a loss to know what to do.

great purchase
The various auto-fill/carry forward capabilities of the program save a lot of time and by answering a few questions in the personal profile section, saves even more time by bypassing unnecessary sections on the tax return. Plus, a lot of complicated calculations are done for you.

Easy to use
I am used to professional tax software and the Easy-Step gets sometimes a bit on my nerves but at least there are more jump points now, the menu could be even more improved. But it is overall easy to use, gets the taxes done for easy to medium returns (I use Home & Business). I would go to a professional for a first time small business owner to begin with to better understand what to enter where. I am working at a tax office for 9 years and know what I am doing but I think the initial should be done by a pro, they just know more. But after that, if it is straight forward, small business can be done on your own. Any other 'normal' return is easy to do!
