Deceased Persons
My Mother recently passed away and I have just completed her income tax return. I found Turbo Tax very easy to follow for deceased persons. My only complaint would be having to write "The Estate of the Late" above her name. I would like to see under "Personal Information" where you checked off Mrs, Mr, etc. a line that says "The Estate of the Late" it would look so much better than the line being hand written.

improvements needed
Here are a few recommendations that would make the product better:
1. Ability to increase font size.
2. Capital gains screen needs a worksheet to be able to share the gains/losses with my spouse. Presently this is an awkward process.

Pro review glitch
Purchased pro review and expected a confirming email. Did not receive and had many questions. Got frustrated and decided to efile anyway THEN one of the steps was connect with pro review. There was no information before that to expect where pro review would be available. In the end pro review was very helpful.

Easy for intra Canada, cross border tricky
We have used TT Home & Business for 15 years. We have a cross border (USA) situation (partnership, non corporate). The intra Canada portion is excellent, although it would be nice if the tax software would help do the provincial taxes, too.
For cross border, it's hard to maneuver because it doesn't cover a lot of residential configurations, it seems just mostly for Canada guest workers. For that reason, I use exclusively the forms, and have to override some fields. However, I find this software concise, and easy to maneuver through. One suggestion I would give is to have the software help more in the file management, much like Turbo Tax does for its USA program. If I step away from the program for a few days, it then requires me to pick the file to continue editing. I often am unsure which revision I last worked in.

Turbo Tax is becoming more easy to use
Turbo Tax, I feel, has been listening to my opinions. I would, year after year, complain that I was constantly putting wrong things in the wrong categories because the questions being asked were way over my head. I've now noticed in the last few years that there is more accessibility to help at your fingertips and the right kind of questions are finally being asked in terms I can understand. Thank you turbo tax!

Dual citizen hassles
It's very hard to use the product when you are a dual Canada/US citizen. It's hard to figure out where to enter information. I could not find where to enter the amount of US taxes I am paying on my worldwide income. Also, carrying forward a loss is too hard to understand for a layman like me.

Excellent except for Quebec returns
I have been using Turbo Tax/Quick Tax for years. This year I helped my daughter to do her return, but she had moved to Quebec in 2015. What a nightmare trying to figure that out. Very frustrating. You need easier to understand guides for this!

Easy to use

A Few Glitches this Year
I found that I had to manually search for some data entry, after I had gone through Easy Step and correctly answered all the questions. Had to search for several forms, which I should have been prompted to do by the program. Hopefully, this will be corrected for next year's version.

Great for farm operation

More tips for small businesses
I find the turbo tax product generally very good. Straightforward to use and apparently calculates all of your entitlements automatically.
I would improve it by adding more information on what businesses can claim as part of their costs. The sections contained within TT are pretty small in number and narrow in definition - I feel lots more advice could be included to fully inform small business owners of their full entitlements.

Turbo Your Business Tax
Turbo Tax has been a life saver for me! So easy to set up and use. I absolutely LOVE the fool proof step by step guide.
Each year as I open up my Turbo Tax it is like I am greeting my best friend who I haven't seen for a year. We pick up right where we left off as though it were yesterday when we last saw each other instead of a year.

Integration and decision issues
I use Quicken Home and Business for all my accounting and I find that Turbo Tax is the best available software for doing my taxes, however, there is a lot of room for improvements. I find it difficult to confirm if the data pulled from Quicken is accurate and complete. I also find that it is more difficult than I had expected to make changes to a return and evaluate the end outcome after the return is complete.

Friendly tax program

You didnt give me the Business
AS I explained earlier, the program is excellent value for money. I bought the expensive version because have a small consultant business running from my home. My expenses running the business this year were more than I made. But nevertheless, your program could not be persuaded to go to Business section. Since I couldn't claim anything anyway, I eventually just filed without including any data. I'll ask CRA later if they want the lines filed out anyway. My point is: You made it virtually impossible to file a Business return. Next year I probably will just buy the cheapest version because this one did nothing for me.

Consistent Product since 2003
Have used Quicken since late 1990's. Have 2006-2014 up and running on my office system Window 8. Conducting refile from 2006-1010 and 2011-20012. Amazing, works from one year to next seamlessly so far.
2014 easier to use except for being able to return to areas when re-reviewing. Data entry is speeded up.

Comparing to the previous versions, this one have only one fault and that is the layout of the screen. All the previous years versions had better color scheme and the results on the RIGHT SIDE!!!! With bookkeepers and accountants that setting works better

Excellant except for
When stocks Etc are sold from a couples joint account it does not ask for a percentage allocated to each person, as it does for other income streams for a joined return. Allocation to each return has to be done manually which is a real pain if many sales.
