Does the job nicely
Nice program, has more than enough features to meet the need for my small technical consulting business. I did find it awkward jumping from Forms back to Quick File and having to step through process to get back to section modified in forms - seemed a bit clunky but quite workable.
Last minute process of completing and file our returns was quick, glitchfree and straightforward!

Easy and hard
It seems to easy to use at the beginning but it is getting hard at last bacause of lack of explain especially just before using netfile. I think if there more explain then I can give 5 stars.

Good program. The only thing I could recommend is that when it comes time to net-file and the return is saved to a .tax file... is that it be saved to an area that is easy to refer to like maybe your desk top. It becomes a little cumbersome trying to find it imbedded in your documents.

Turbo Tax, just as good as an Accountant
I've been using TT for several years, and the business version is very easy and accurate. Since my wife started her home business, we've been getting refunds back every year. The only improvement I'd like to see are definition links for tax terms that are highly technical.

only purchase for taxes
I appreciate the continuity of using Turbo Tax year after year. I find some of the approachs to questions/forms are at times challenging but my previous experience with this software has taught me how to get through the peculiarities of this program.

Claim dependant as eqivalent to spouse
Make it clearer that is it NOT claiming a dependent, but equivalent to spouse. Also change it so you can go back and take that out and not have redo all of the entries in a new file
We have a done this EVERY Year and noticed that LOTS of other people are doing it too.

Best Bang for the Buck
Easy navigation. You have the choice of entering data by form or following Easy Steps. Best of all, good support. Each year I have something new to add and have had to call. Got an answer usually within 10mins. This year however, had to use the phone, chat feature was not available, still got good service.

Excellent Tax Program
I have been using Turbo Tax and the predecessor Quick Tax for years and find it an easy user friendly program. Where I live in Nunavut there are no accounting or tax return businesses up here. I find the program is doing everything I want it to do. The version we use is Turbo Tax for personal and small business as we own two small business one a sales and the other a rental business plus my investments.

Good product but recommend some improvements
Overall, good product, but would like to see the ability of having two returns open at the same time, to be able to make comparisons between scenarios, or to copy numbers between different returns. This would be similiar to other windows programs, like Word, excel etc, where you can have multiple files open, and copy/paste etc. between files.
Updating program files seems to have some problems as well, as had to manually do all updates, even after talking to Intuit Support and receiving special update that should have fixed the problem.

Could be more user friendly
As I have taken courses on tax prep., I can follow this program just fine. However, for anyone not well acquainted with the various aspects of income tax law and the forms, your program is hard to follow. Nowhere do you offer information, like what the cost/kilometre for travel for medical or business costs that is allowed if you follow the easy way. Nor is there a place to tell someone that they have missed something that they didn't know they were entitled to. For example, how to fill out the dependent areas. I think that there could be more information given and hints offered. Thanks

Maximized Returns

Good but some mistakes
It's a good program. However, there are some spelling errors. For instance, "accommodate" has two M's, not one.
There are others, as well. You need a proofreader. Take care.

Fairly Good Choice
I purchased the Turbo Tax for Home & Business and can't really find any major difference from the basic other than the inflated price. Overall, fairly easy to use but it is often difficult to go back to a specific spot , although you can set a small number of flags. Often you have to go back to the beginning of "income" or "deductions" instead of directly getting deeper into those sections. But after 3 years, it's getting better.

Great Product!
It's user friendly and allows you to move throughout the program at your own speed and flip back to where you need to double check things......I went to have different Tax software last year and I'm sticking with TurboTax for good, alot less stress then last year!!!

Easy to use and easy to maximize with!
Have used this for 6 years now and have compared against large corporation tax units out there. This does a much better jobs and is much better at allowing me to plan for the future by changing rrsp and carryover amounts to try before we hit the deadlines. Just wish it came out at the beginning of december to give me a little more time to plan deductions that arent rrsp's

What a tool
Through the years TurboTax (previously QuickTax) has improved clarity and help with this product. While there are still improvements to be made, I think that they are on the right track as there are improvements every year. I have been using this product since 2000.
