needs page index, too expensive
the "jump to topic" window is too small, and stepping through each page from the main index is tedious. Also the price on the small business version is a bit stiff. Time to improve before the competition does.

Confusing
When I manually went back to check on my input info and then proceeded from that point, all of the input seemed to vanish. I would then do a re-input of data only to find that the data had duplicated. This was very confusing and very difficult to correct. Regardless of which direction I go, it should show me the data that I have already input. This is the first time that I've purchased the Home & Bussiness version, and probably my last time. I never had this problem with Quicktax Standard.

Doesn't make changes automatically
I had tried to make changes to some of the savings and no matter what I tried the program wouldn't allow me to make changes. Very frustrating and didn't allow me to take advantage of that saving!

Very awkward to use. Would require me to repeatedly fill out some info if I used Go to or Back button. Terrible help feature. Not happy with program at all this year.

Horrible
Stop asking me to complete a survey after every tax return is completed! Also stop printed all the unnecessary pages - Farmers credit - who cares I didn't input one thing about farming yest it printed 8 pages on every tax return!

Not happy
I have filed with this package for years. This year, the amount of errors while entering business was insurmountable. Finally had to enter all info using forms. Help desk was good, but their hands were tied. Was a very frustrating experience.

Not Very Useful Overall
I have been using Turbo Tax for many years but this year there were too many issues with the software. When I tried to Netfile there were errors that came up that TurboTax could not fix. So I had to print my return and mail it.

What the H happened ? I cannot trust 2025 program
I usuallly buy the disk at Staples. Twice now I have attempted an online purchase. Both have failed me! two years ago I lost all info. I only have a printout. This year I cannot upload 2023 file. For a 2025 simple T1 the error messages are WRONG. The wrong boxes are used and, as as result, do not match the capital gains total that the program is trying to match. I cannot file the T1 with ANY confidence. Unless I receive help and an explanation I will find a new tax prep program for 2025.

How incompetent can you be
Did not upgrade with Microsoft Edge. Could not file or print a final copy without the upgrade. Did not transfer information from last year for continuity. Had to make Google the primary internet program to complete the filing. Little to no help online. This program is not what it once was and without serious change, is NOT worth the money.

This has been my worst year ever ( TWENTY THREE YEARS), of preparing my taxes with Quick Tax and then Turbo Tax. Never had one problem before,but this year lots and lots of issues and i blame it on the fact no disc came with the package. Next year no disc, no purchase.

Not worth it.
The font on the side panel is huge making it difficult / impossible to read, then the font on some of the main screen is also tiny making it difficult to read. The whole experience can be difficult to navigate. Most people are simply forced into using this or similar software because they lobby the government to stop them from making it possible to simply file your taxes automatically like in many other countries.

took to long to netfile
i called in many time for netfiling delays. I could not remember what i had done and finally during netfile they asked me a whole bunch of questions i had difficulte answering.
if netfile was not ready you should not let me start my return. i feel i had reread a whole bunch of stuff now i am cunfused

Paper is quicker
Nearly 2 hours to register, download and install the software. Did not prompt me for a very common tax credit, that I was aware of. Had to go back through the whole process 2 times because I no longer trusted I was getting all my credits. And I wasn't ! ! Filed paper returns for 35 years and it was quicker and more accurate than this 6 hour ordeal.

never again
every year I use this the resulting return is much higher than the government see things. This after using the easy step for small business either the deductions, math, or something occurs. Never actually able to find where the issue is. Will never use the product again. Have asked for copy and past for medical expenses but that has also fallen on deaf ears

Poor Guide for Self Employed
Does not offer value for self employed. Designed for non self employed filing mulitple returns for family. Suggest further improvement to help self employed with capturing deductions etc.

Home & Business for a sole proprietor
For my business, where I consult with only 1 major business partner, this version was NOT easy to use compared to TT Standard. Having used TT Standard for past returns I would return to using that rather than stick with TT Home & Business.

Either Problem with CRA or Program. The review probably would have been expediant if i was told where any potential errors were located.

Poorest Rating in Years
I have used Intuit/TurboTax for over a decade and while I continue to use upgraded products it seems there is no end to the upselling within the product such as Audit Defence, Expert Review, etc.. Meanwhile the HELP and online assistance service has become poor and unavailable.

Too many bugs
Bugs galore
1) The Quebec Solidarity credit kept having an error and even tech support couldn't fix it.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed that I couldn't get my file reviewed before submitting my file. The option was disabled and when i contacted Turbotax they told that the service will be available after may 4 which is after the deadline.

MB TAX CREDITS A PROBLEM
THE PROGRAM WAS UNABLE TO HANDLE MB TAX CREDITS WITHOUT INSISTING ON CLAIMING A PARTICULAR PERSONAL CREDIT FOR DECEASED SPOUSE. WAS UNABLE TO NETFILE BECAUSE HAD TO OVERRIDE TO ELIMINATE THE INELIGIBLE CREDIT.

CRA rejection
Why didn't Turbo Tax find the error reported by CRA? 3 personal returns accepted but business return not. I had to print and mail with original receipts. Couldn't find any support from Turbo Tax.

Clunky but helps you not miss things
The user interface is painful to navigate with a keyboard.
The help windows are tiny and the help content is obscure. You're better off searching the internet.
The one thing Turbo Tax has going for it is the Easy Step helper can help you find out which of the many forms you need to fill and not miss things.
