Software has a Serious Flaw
I've used Home & Business for years, and this year is the 1st time I encountered technical challenges. I used the CD install on my computer, and my spouse downloaded the software on a new laptop with no CD drive. Only my CD install worked. The download would not recognize the installation code after first having successfully installed it. HOURS of time wasted on the phone trying to get support. They couldn't fix the issue nor would the support supervisor provide a new code for my spouse to use. Instead, they told us to return the product to where we purchased it for a refund; WHAT? LOL, so Intuit couldn't support its software, nor would they provide a workaround (i.e give us a new installation code). WOW. I could go on and on about how their "solution" was so wrong but I believe most retail purchasers would understand why. Purchase at own risk.

Turbo tax home & business

This was terrible. Shoot me now.
The process was painful and frustrating, too many redundant and unnecessary questions. They oversimplify where it's not required, and do not explain well the more complicated processes. Even their "short survey" was 55 pages of questions that I could not bare to complete. Shame.

Terrible experience. Problems last year and this year with program that would not include detailed self-employed expenses. Going separately into forms was a problem.
Program needs to clarify parts of profile to ignore for self employed.

T1135 - not able to use
The T1135 is limited to only three lines making it useless. As a result, despite paying for the most expensive package, I was still unable to file the return!

Scammer
I called the TurboTax help line and was put through to a scammer in India who wasn't interested in my question but insisted that I screen share.
TurboTax does not allow caregiver credit and disability amount to be individually selected which is necessary for a dependent in a care home.

Problems with software - the home business version
There are errors in the software for the Home Office version.
I have been purchasing the Premium version for several years and thought because we work from home to try the Home Office version.
Let me start by stating that the RRSP section is not working properly. I do not recall which section but it kept giving me an error message.
Although I understand that we are all going through a very difficult time, I tried to call but there has not been anyone to answer my calls so I have given up on that.
I find that this software is not as easy to use perhaps because there are new sections that I am not use to but I don't think that I would buy this version again.

Lost all Data
Couldn't retrieve 2018 data because Turbotax didn't save it last year and did not tell me. This year had Error code at first, but they may have fixed it. Still couldn't save as years past.

Errors in tax software
There is an error in the tax software on form 2125. If you enter an amount from Box 83 on your T4 slip on the form, it will not allow you to net file the return. I was able to net file my return in 2018 using the same process I tried in 2019. Yet, this time I had to mail my return.

Never Again
I've used TurboTax Home and Business to file my taxes since 2011. This year the software was very frustrating.
- Bugs prevent it from updating, so you have to uninstall, reboot and reinstall (their instructions) and the download page doesn't tell you which version - so you can't double check if you need to upgrade.
- complete lack of description, help or tool tips on new tax concepts and language
- CARE section extremely confusing. Google Childcare Access and Relief from Expenses turbotax.
- software asked me questions that it already knows the answer to
- its apparent that QA for this product has gone downhill. I assume focus is on the online product.

I have been a Turbotax user for 10 years - I have personal, rental and consulting income so I buy the more expensive business version.

Going Backwards
Turbo Tax is moving backwards. In the early years video problem solving answers were available but this product has become archaic in accessing information. Everything is an upsell and to be informed someone would get back to me within 24 hours is a joke.

Disappointing for 2018
Disability tax credit form did not calculate and so had to override. Also, T5008 does not autofill Schedule 3 as it advises. Phoned and helpdesk could not find DTC form,and/or didnt want to help. Didnt bother asking about T5008 given lack of familiarity with product re DTC. Relied on Turbotax for many years so very disappointed in easy errors this year.

2018 Turbo Tax is the worst I ever received: I couldn't netfile until March 17, 2019; the forms were incomplete, the interaction with CRA was sketchy and nonexistent until beginning of march 2019. I know TurboTax and QuickTax since inception in 1997, I know what I am talking about. If they change their attitude I forgive, otherwise I change program.

Poor quality this year,
I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 5 years and never had a problem. This year I have had nothing but problems with trying to print and netfile my taxes. Every time I try to do either I am told that updates will be available after the beginning of January
