gets worse every year
TurboTax gets worse every year If I could find something better I wouldn't have bought it this year. Next year I won't be buying it, there just has to be a better tax program out there. this year it didn't seem to be harder to use, a change from the last few years, but it had glitches that made me wonder if my taxes were actually being done right. I couldn't actually use the business expert interview that bought it for but had enter my business info through edit business.

Turbo Tax was not helpful this year
This year I had a different, but not unusual circumstance. I was filing my last Canadian/Quebec income tax because I got a full-time job and moved to the US at the end of the year. Turbo Tax doesn't have anything built in that allows for this kind of situation. And it's not like it's uncommon. Canadian workers migrate south all the time! Additionally, because I was a free-lancer working in Quebec it complicated things even more. Ultimately, I got conflicting results on whether or not I was supposed to pay or get a refund. AND I couldn't even file or print out anything for a Quebec return (and Quebec REQUIRES you to fill a Quebec return if your business was located within the province for even part of the year). So frustrated right now. I just spent the last eight hours trying to get it to work and now I'm probably going to have to fly back to Canada to pay an accountant to do it for me properly.

Not a great year
I have used Turbo Tax and it's previous versions for over 8 years. I have updated and then was not able to use what was started and had to re-install, do this a couple of times. I am not happy with this years version.

The Canadian version of TurboTax is complete rubbish. It looks terrible, is hard to navigate and is poorly documented. The support options are useless. You will feel like killing yourself after you try to use TurboTax.

More trouble than it was worth
TurboTax did not have enough rows to enter for my investment transactions, requiring me to get creative to enter them properly. Between that and what appears to be a bug in the Netfile code that gave me unnecessary warnings, I am not happy.

Most Frustrating Experience of the Year Award
We had a higher income this year. Used Turbotax to determine how much RRSP to buy to bring taxes down. Then, later in 'Review', Turbotax says our non-refundable tax credits exceed our tax payable, and to carry forward expenses and donations to the next year! Why did it not allow us to use them this year when they would have reduced our taxes owed and reduced the amount of RRSP that we needed to buy!? It also recommended to reduce the CCA for this year when we could use all of it. the use of Turbotax to determine our RRSP for the year is one of the most important decisions we make, and this is not acceptable. Please explain. We have struggled with it for many years, always upset by the lack of help on basic tax issues. Please let us know if you improve the software to where we can use it again. We will not be purchasing it again otherwise, nor recommending it.

Not business friendly
I found the Home & Business 2012 fine for personal taxes, but not user friendly for business. CCA and UCC hard to find and the "help" was useless. The review section was tedious and although they had an optimizer feature for personal deductions, they had no such feature for business. I had to guesstimate the amounts of deductions I should claim.
The walk through worked okay for personal, but not for biz. I found the forms easier to use for business income and expenses. You also need to have tax knowledge because the help doesn't cut it.

Nightmare software

Not compatible with Quick Books Pro
Absolutly horrible this year! WE have used this for many years and trnasfer our date from Quick Book s to the tax turbo, this year it did nothing. I had to manually print out all my info then enter each thing into tax turbo. This was unaccaptable and will be looking into to alternate programs next year for taxes. I am not sure what you guys did differntl this year but aboslutly a waste of money and my time.

Too many bugs
I could not netfile because your system wanted a 15 digit business number, but the applicable business number is only 9 digits.
I could not edit worksheets easily.
I could not import information from Quick Books, as promised.
I was most disappointed for the amount I spent on the Home and Business edition.
