Questionable purchase
I have used the standard version for several years and upgraded by recommendation as I had a small Investment capital loss, but as I had no capital gains to offset it, I gained no benefit from the up-grade and doubled my cost.

Cost
I have gone from $40 for a Basic Tax Pkg that included 8 returns, to paying $40 for each of the 6 returns I complete.
I require a code, as I complete these on a MAC
2 of them have minimal info on them

Excellent Value
With a few investments that include mutual funds and stocks, as well as pensions and retirement savings, a large number of tax slips result in a mountain of confusing paperwork. Turbotax keeps it under control and simplifies, reducing the stress.

First time user
Found navigation tedious, maybe because I am first time user. The instructions for claiming the foreign tax credit could be better. Make it clear that you have to edit every info slip imported from the CRA that has foreign tax paid to show the country to which the tax is paid, USA for example.

Taxes Done Easy!
I remember the days of handwriting all my tax information on paper forms, calculator in hand. I'm not sure I can ever go back. Turbo taxes simply makes doing taxes easier. I wouldn't say it's a substitute for doing your research and reading up on some finer points, but it makes entering the information so much easier. Very satisfied and I've been using it for years. The fact that it carries information over year after year, and bonus features like downloading your info from CRA from the year before - it just seems to improve every year.

Online Pricing should improve
Overall I find TurboTax easy to use, my concern is with pricing. I believe it is cheaper to buy the disc than use the online version. Online charged extra for each return, whereas the store bought version allowed up to 8 returns for the same price.

easy to use but was blocked from netfiling as error 21 at CRA, as Access code not accepted even tho accepted earlier on in completing file??? Only glitch encountered in otherwise simple routine. More puzzling as netfiled last year without problem!

Straight Forward
