med expense frustration
Up to this year I was able to enter a total for my medical expenses instead of entering each item.I just put in a total under "other".Hopefully the CRA will accept this.Bring back the total option next year please.

Problem with T3 entry
Please double check the math on the entries for Boxes 52, 53 & 21. They weren't adding up properly. Wasn't a problem in the end, but left me struggling filling out this section

Somewhat difficult to use the package when going back to review a particular section of your tax return. You have to keep going back to click on each part of that section and is time consuming.

Quick, accurate.
Can pause and resume easily.
After years of the same look it would have been nice to have offered a quick tutorial showing how the new look for 2024 was to be handled by the user experienced under the previous process.

Turbo tax 24
Easy to use but checking could be so much easier if you could drill down from the summary. Check each total and if there is a difference, click on the line. Rather than just an explanation of the contents.

Better last year
As always it's an amazing product, but I very much dislike the new interface. I've seen no improvements from last year, just more difficult to switch between sections and spouses to play around with sharing tax credits and deductions to carry forward or not.

A major difficulty was importing data from CRA, never managed to do it.
Also, found difficulty in accessing previous returns, and finding the page I wanted to review and/or edit in current return.
OVERALL, a good product but needs a little work to make it easier to manage.

Harder to Use Than Last Year
I used the download version this year versus a CD in the previous and I found it far less intuitive to use the download version. Eventually I made it work and got through (with a little help from Intuit support). I am not sure how people who are not used to doing taxes or using complicated software would do when filing with this product?

Don't like the format changes
The new changes to the software make it more difficult to work with especially when you receive T slips and receipts later and have to find where to enter them. The old setup with the slips in the menu at the side was MUCH easier to work with. Definitely a downgrade.

Don't like the changes
I preferred the previous version, which listed the categories of Income and Expense down the side. So easy to access.
This version is clunky and inefficient.
Will have to think about using this product again.

This year it is a cash crab
I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years with no problems using my prepaid tax returns.
In the past, When preparing a tax return that was more complex than what I purchased, Turbo tax would give me the credit for prepaid tax certificate and I would pay the difference. NOT THIS Year! I have 16 prepaid vouchers that cost me over $90.00 and have not been able to use any of them and have had to pay for each return separately.
I WILL NOT BE USING TURBO TAX NEXT YEAR FOR SURE.
Tax Tron here I come.

Formatt seems to work well
I have only one beef with this years Turbotax, and that is the cost for one individual per return at $40. $80 for me and my spouse is a bit of a grab!

Had a great deal of difficulty with a T 3 statement. A NetFile error kept coming up telling me that the value in two boxes must equal the total in a third box. The numbers did total the third box but NetFile did not recognize the truth. I could not go on as I had to fix the error.There was no error!.The help button did not help. Had to get telephone help twice to finally get it solved.

Slip T3 error
Generally it was great as always. This time an error box 52 and box 53 must add up to box 21 kept on showing up, tried many things for two hours and then called the help line and waited half hour, only to find out a system glitch. Solution, just round up the numbers in the three boxes to the nearest dollar and remove decimals, problem solved!!

partner's tax
One problem encountered is when husband and wife do taxes separately, it asks for the vaule on line.... of the partner's tax form. One has to start with one, so I just have to make a slight guess as the other has not been done yet.

Glitch with T3
There seemed to be a glitch in this year's return with the T3: we got the error that boxes 52 and 53 did not add up to box 21, when in fact it did. And we had copied the numbers exactly from the return. So that was unhelpful. Otherwise all good.

2024 Return
I have been using Turbotax for a number of years, and am glad the 'online' version can accommodate the older version of my Window OS, which works just fine for me and I have no plan to change soon. The only minor problem I encountered when using Turbotax is sometimes the warnings appeared to be redundant and should not be there.
