Great Product

Step by step
Overall, the TT format is user friendly.
One has to be careful not to get ahead of oneself in the rush to finish. Some items are a little ambiguous and require clarification along the way.
Downloading investment information directly from CRA is a time saver but needs to be checked against written T-slips
For example, Capital Gains information does not get sent in the mail if the net product is 0 but does get referred in the CRA download

Not worth buying in the store
I purchased a 4 pack in the store but still had to pay an additional return, even though I only completed two returns. I will not be buying it in store again, I will just complete on line and pay on-line.

Confusing sections
I've used TurboTax for many years but found this years (2019) version confusing in two areas: Instructions regarding Capital Gains when downloading a T5008 and Rental Income when a revenue property is owned by more than one person.

Comprehensive and easy to use. Had an issues with T5008's in saving data which I had to reenter. The most confusing issue was when I netfiled. It said the T1135 was filed separately. I got a notice that it was successfully received but I was unclear whether the Tax Return itself was received.

Accessing difficult
I have used Turbotax for several years and never had a problem accessing it through the internet. However this year, it took several messages and reading other peoples questions to determine it was not going to work this year unless accessed by Google Chrome, which I had to download.

Very Good Value
Excellent value, however we have noticed a few glitches that take a bit of time to investigate. It would be great if Turbo Tax could produce a similar online product so you could prepare returns for Trusts (T3's)

Missed my discount!
I entered TurboTax using the 20% discount feature in my bank's online offering. At the end, I didn't receive any discount on TTax and couldn't see any way to correct that. Otherwise I like the product of TTax.

Simple to use
I like Turbo Tax for the fact that it is easy to use from year to year. However, I find the price is high for very limited help. I would like to see an option of 1 call-1question for a flat rate and then other packages. I am not very tax knowledgeable and I find the suggestions and keyword help that Turbotax highlights does help my peace of mind as I move through the process.

Simple & straightforward
Good product, but it doesn't mean you can sleep through the data entry.
A few strange issues I experienced:
1. share donation support was weak, is it included in total dnations?, is there a carry forward of any unused portion?
2. kept asking me about my foreign property holdings, I have NONE.
3. RRSP unused portion was a bit confusing, do you include the unused portion as part of the total contribution or not (you find out deeper in the program)
4.the final prinout of the Notice of Assessment via the CRA site is NOT printer frinedly. (I think the font size is about 14-18, and takes multiple pages to print, rather than two pages.
Overall a good product, which I plan to use again next year.

Makes Taxes Easy to Do
Good selection of products, it is easy to use and optimizes your return. This is simply the easiest way to complete a return for a decent price. There is courteous help if you run into issues with filling out the return.

Very Good Product
I found this program easy to use and liked that it walked me through each portion step-by-step. I did have issue with some of the language/terminology and definitions, and that information pulled over from the CRA was not accurate, and was in French. That being said, it is still a good program to use.

We have used Turbo Tax for several years now with relative ease and this is the first year we have used the online version. I am not all that happy with this version as we had some difficulty with saving, logging out and navigating to different parts of the return. Think we'll go back to the regular CD version for next year.

slightly annoying
I have used Turbotax in previous years and have always felt it to be informative, worth the money, and easy to use. This year, however, Turbotax allowed me to continue on after giving the option to Netfile or print and mail my tax return. I mistakenly chose neither option and, therefore, did not actually file my taxes. The result: headaches via CRA. In my opinion, the option to continue should not be accessible unless a method of filing has been selected, creating an improved, and more fool proof way, to file taxes.

Good, But Could Be Easier to Use
Overall, good! I have used TurboTax for several years. This year's experience with TurboTax was more frustrating than others. Drop-down menus had sub-menus that would suddenly cause the menus to expand or shrink without warning, which made the menus sometimes hard to navigate. It was also more difficult to get to specific pages to make amendments without having to first go through a profiles page and go through pages that I didn't need to amend. Reviewing information related to a warning forced me to go through the complete review process from the beginning. Also, the warnings seemed to be misplaced, as there were no problems like the ones the warnings hinted at.
