Good value
Well designed however would like to see better emphasis on the Quebec portion. It took me hours to determine why I was unable to file ..... only to determine you MUST enter source of foreign income (put Global in all cases).

room for improvement
When editing medical expenses, CCA amounts, etc, it is cumbersome to edit and then return to the former screen. Not intuitive at all.
when entering medical expenses, TurboTax should allow for text to automatically insert if you type the same thing for each expense.
medical expense categories need to be expanded dramatically. most expenses end up in 'other"

Excellent product but can be polished in places.
I've been a longtime user of TurboTax product. The 2016 premier package suited my needs but I have some suggestions.
1. Was unable to transfer data from 2015. I believe that this was due to some data validation that was added to the product this year for spouse SIN -- I did not enter a SIN last year because my spouse is a non-resident with no SIN. Validation does not allow a blank.
2. I was looking for help regarding the definition of exchange rate -- is it foreign currency to Cdn currency or Cdn currency to foreign currency. Could find anything in Help but figured out from example US/Cdn rates.

Rental property income modification
For a rental property owned in a partnership, I have both partnership costs (equivalent to joint costs x my percentage of ownership) and sole costs. Turbotax does not correctly add my joint costs and sole costs, even though it has all the necessary fields for entering this information. For the last number of years using TurboTax I've had to manually manipulate the program into coming out with the correct net rental income.

One improvement needed
Pricing of this product should be made clear prior to completion of the return. There should be a cost benefit to purchasing it online as opposed to buying it off the shelf. It's not clear to me if what I purchased will allow me to do the returns of other family members without an additional charge. The product on the shelf tells me that; why can't this product. Other than that, no complaints about the results.

Indispensible at tax time
Turbo Tax is easy to use, accurate, and inexpensive. My only complaint is that it times out too quickly when I am answering questions, so I have to log in again to continue.

Multiple returns difficult to locate
I prepare my family's returns and I found this Year's version very difficult to use when trying to move between different files. Every time you log in the program only shows the one return you were preparing and does not allow you to choose between different file names.

Great Improvements But
I am pleased with the 2015 improvements but there are still some areas that leave you kind of high and dry to make a call whether to continue or go back. One example is with pension splitting with results that compare figures but does not say to proceed by clicking one or the other and in the end proceed by clicking continue not knowing whether the action was complete.

Too simplified
I enjoy the ability to download information from the CRA. I dislike not being able to add information directly to the old form. Sometimes in simplifying the question it disables me from giving information.

Just makes more sense
I like Turbo Tax better than using an accountant because it prompts you to get certain reciepts and look up other expences you can write off eg, rental expenses, medical expenses etc. i have never had an accountant sit and adk me all the step by step questions that Turbo Tax does therefore I feel some things are obviously going to be missep.

Well Worth the Cost
Easy, hassle free, almost effortless. You can't make a mistake. If you do it tells you exactly what it is & takes you back to fix it. Taxes done in minutes in the comfort of home. Without struggling through daunting tax forms. A bit pricy if you want to include audit defence but as an overall product, I highly recommend it.

easier then expecting
I've always had someone else take care of filling my taxes for me since i could never wrap my head around all the information i needed to take care of, this actually allowed me to take care of it over a few days here and there, and to actually get a return for the first time

Decent
Good for simple tax returns. Difficult to find information about specific situations, and it would be easy to overlook some situations, such as living in Northern Zone A, unless you knew to look for them. Otherwise, a really good product, and I will continue to use it. Good value for the cost.

Better but could be improved
Suggest you add two features:
1) Towards the end, provide a summary of just the input the user has put into the program so they can check their own input easily.
2) Provide a screen which shows the return before and after the split of pension income so the user can easily see the amount one spouse needs to reimburse the other spouse for the added tax they were charged with due to the split in income.

First time filing on my own
This was my first attempt at filing my own taxes and while I did feel like i needed to purchase the ProReview (Thanks Holly ;)) the whole process wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it might be.
I'll be able to do this on my own and save a ton next year!

forced to upgrade to premier ver
I had checked a box by mistake and it forced me to upgrade it to premier version even though I did not use any of it's features. Only way to downgrade was to start all over. Please allow downgrading when the file is completed and does not require upgrading.

little confusing
Overall easy to use, though some of the steps can be a bit confusing. Good for someone who has filled online before or has a slightly more complicated return. They should have a bit more detail as to the steps and navigating can be a bit repetitive, especially when you want to go over things.
