A Good Tax Program
I found this a fairly easy program to follow. Had some trouble making a change of a mistake but got someone on the phone from Turbo Tax who showed me how to cure the problem

So easy!
TurboTax has a very easy-to-use format and is well organized. I like to be able to stop and start as I wish, or to jump ahead to a certain form and get help at any point. It is great not having to deal with all those papers all over the place and running a calculator and mailing the return in!

Easy for simple taxes
If you had a job and contributed to RRSPs and donated to charities last year, it's a great product. If you have investment income and capital loss or gain issues, it's just as painful as completing the paper forms.

Glitchy
Northern Ontario Tax Credit - Keeps asking you to verify that you do indeed live in Northern Ontario, go back, confirm, keeps coming back as a warning right to the end. No place to confirm. Still shows as a possible error. This should be fixed.

Turbotax has issues
Why have you taken away "File Copy" work sheets?
Filing with Turbotax & CRA using a Mac is NOT user friendly ~ had to search out help which was confusing.
Mint would not recognize me this year when I tried to log in. Claims my email address is used, that's me from a year ago!

Capital gains
If you have a simple finance situation this is very easy to follow. Figuring out Capitain gains and carrying forward past Capital losses took some time and a few phone calls to the Support at Turbo Tax.

could be improved
I found it annoying that I did not know when data had been properly saved. I lost entries several times because I did not proceed all the way to the "Done with XYZ" stage. A "Save" icon at the bottom of each entry would be helpful. Also, there should be a "log out" option. Just shutting down your browser seems a funny way to exit. Finally, I must admit that I worry about the security of the data entered.

Almost perfect
The software made a suggestion regarding dividend sharing that I didn't quite understand .. so I just left it alone. Maybe a better on-screen explanation is required.

Makes tax filing easy

I have used Quicktax for many years. I find that the online Turbotax for Mac is inferior to the disc based form I used when I had Windows. The information sidebars are not very useful. However it worked for me for the 2011 return.

Problem with iPad

There has to be a way to overwrite the default dollar amounts (ie 0.00) when entering information. Having to delete the 0.00 everytime is a pain.

Over priced
was not happy that the download ended up costing me more than if I had purchased the software from the store. I felt that the upgrade to Premier was unnecessary, but was unable to return to basic.

Easy to Use, difficult to pay for properly
Inputting data is fine, but when comes time to pay, it wants me to pay for both my wife's and my return, instead of just one payment for both. (ie up to 20 returns per purchase)

Worth the value
Well organized and in most cases user friendly. The first snag was trying to e-file, we kept going around in circles when saving the file as a .tax, it would not save to the desk top until I dragged and dropped it on the desktop. When completing the spouse e-file I selected "ready to file" as shown in the demo video and again became caught in a loop asking to submit it again. When it realized it was already submitted and returned an error I was able to log out.

Very good but missing a feature from last year
Very good, however I was disappointed to find that I was not able to compare my review with that from last year. This was a feature available in previous years but I was not able to find it this year.

I like the Flags and Go To features. Much easier to move around in the return than last year. Would like to see a button to flip to spouse's return easily.

Great Product
This was my first year using Turbo Tax and it was fantastic. It was easy to use and you could save it and come back to it if you didn't have all your receipts yet.

Filed with deluxe but could of filed with standard
The bigest proble I have with the process is that for some reason I was optimized to complete my returns with Deluxe but I realized at the end of the process during review and before completing that I could have used the Standard version. Could not find a way unless I started over, to downgrade to "standard" version and save roughly $20.
And try and get service by phone....impossible unless you provide a credit card number. Somehow I think that is sad.
