Expensive for a single return
You offer 8 returns for less than filing one return. And just because we have income from other sources besides work should not mean the cost should go up every year. Very disappointed.

Bait and Switch
If you use TurboTax, please be careful of one thing. The program will ask you to upgrade the service about five times while you fill in your return. If you accidentally choose "yes," it will lock you into to that option. The only way to back out is too start your return over.

The toil of tax returns
I found the 2025 version of turbo tax to be rather cumbersome in comparison to previous years. It did not seem to remember deductions carried over from 2024 - I had to enter that manually and even then it took several tries to get it right. However. . . I was happy to see no threats about potential audits this year! And far fewer "upgrade" prompts. I definitely have no fear of audits, having had multiple audits for this and that over the years. Not sure why as they've never found I owed an extra penny and in fact owed me an extra refund on one of the occasions. Also - Despite all the emails I got saying I could get a 40% discount by filing by March 26th, I didn't get it: there was no link nor button to press!!!! I'm still hoping they'll give me a refund on that, since I pointed it out in the feedback section.

Getting pricey to use
Your price is getting expensive for each filed return and I'm considering shopping around to see what other applications may be out in the e-universe.
I also don't like that I can't get into the tax forms to see how things are looking for myself. Having done my own taxes in the past I need to have access to the forms themselves. No option to do that with TTO.

Problems
This Premier version is not as good as other versions I used previous years. This year I cannot print a Tax Summary at the end. With the Donations and Medical expenses, unlike on previous years, I cannot compare or try to adjust the amount on my wife's tax return and mine. There are a no. of other items not as clean and clear as in other years. Not sure if I got the wrong version! At the end I was asked too check if the software is the most recent version. I tried to check, but I don't know where to check. The software is not on my computer, but downloaded every time I opened the Turbotax. Maybe I am not tech-smart! I presume if every time I opened the program on line, it would be, or should be, the most recent version? Is it not?

Same-Same
No big improvements or terrible defects for 2025 tax year.
Printing is still a hot mess and it seems to have gotten a bit slower saving pages/navigating.
I did like that I got a 40% discount direct from Intuit, but the constant upselling of add-on services is irritating.
Would really love the government to take this over and just provide the equivalent functionality. This is what I'm paying taxes for.

Still Helpful but...
Although this version is still helpful with transferring some information from last year's returns, it was not as user friendly as last year's version for switching between our two returns. Also, this version skipped some questions for my husband's return and info had to be entered later.....harder to find some things that I was looking for, too.

T5008s a pain
If you have to enter T5008s manually because download from CRA contains errors - the manual process is awkward and deathly time consuming . As well the display and ediot and update are time wasters.

Hi, too many prompts to update, expected from taking Premier option that i would be able to review with a tax expert prior to filing,

Do file with Spouse
Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with TurboTax this year. There is a known glitch in the system (can check several websites online) which I did not and it prevented me from filing my return and my spouse's return together. I was 3 separate call for more than 4 hours but they did not resolve my issue and I had to get a refund and do it all over again as 2 separate returns.

Don't like the "improvements"
TRIED autofilling from CRA and we would get a joint refund of over $5,000. When I manually put our information in we have a joint refund of under $3,000. I definitely don't trust downloading information from CRA...too much is missing. Also, I much prefer the format from last year. Didn't like this one at all. Might consider using another software next year.

very expensive
i like the ease of use with Turbotax, however the program doesn't automatically give you the most savings. You still need to be knowledgeable regarding the best methods to get your best refund.
For that and the expensive price tag, it's a love/hate relationship.

Very Dated and Fixated on the Upsell
The value here is questionable for a more straightforward return. The interface to CRA is very good but the constant attempts to upsell is unnecessary. The online help is very archaic and should be upgraded to use AI. I had to reword to attempt to get the keywords to match to existing articles.

Joint Return More Difficult than 2023
I had difficulty importing CRA files this year. In 2023, TuboTax automatically moved from my CRA import to my wife's. This year it did not and was a bit confusing to get to that option for her. If doing a joint return, I preferred your previous year's process where it automatically switched to spouse after ever "section" information.

don't fix what's not broken
Previous years it was easy to go back over your return to make easy editing, this year it always takes me to the end and wants me to file. No easy way to go back and edit. If there is an easy way then it was not that intuitive. This is why I gave it a low rating for this year. I've used the program for many years, this year's revision is not great.

Good Software but too expensive
I've been using Intuit tax software for many years. It's good software and very easy to use but the price has steadily crept up to the point that I probably will find other options for next year. $50 to file an individual tax return is way too expensive as far as I'm concerned.

Why the change?
I have used Turbo Tax for years and found it easy to fill in and very used friendly...until this year! Too fussy and complicated now and I could not understand where I was at any time...thoroughly frustrating. Also I felt I was being pushed to upgrade to something I have never needed before. Disappointing.

I have been using this product for years. The new format is confusing and difficult to follow. Also I received an email from turbotax telling me I would receive a discount and that the discount would be applied at time of check out.. that it would automatically occur. No such discount was received!

Losing a step post-covid
I've been using Turbotax in some form or other since the year 2002. This year, for tax year 2024, there were major changes made to the layout that make it harder to find some sections. My bigger complaint, though, was how the imported T5008 form did not input the date of disposition (box 14) and I had to go through and enter each one manually, line by line. The information was there in the source form, so from my perspective it seems some data engineer has just skipped over figuring out how to map the field in it's provided format (MMDD) to the requested (DD/MM/YYYY) format that Turbotax wants. This is an easy problem to solve, it just takes someone who cares about it to put a little bit of energy into it.

This tax year was cumbersome
They changed the program so you have to continually click to what you want to do. It used to take you through each return from start to finish automatically. Being forced to click on each section for each user made it pretty annoying to use.

Why TurboTax SUCKS
they offer little assistance - one must rely on other users to be kind enough to assist because TT does not help - before you buy their software look for their help desk - it is practically non existent. The software packaging does not indicate that there is an option for online - if the one in the box in the store is the only one available then one must assume that it is the only option. I have been a loyal customer for more than 15 years but with all the hassle again this year - it is the last year I am paying them $80 to stab me in the back - one year download - one year online - where is my info from last year? I have to enter everything manually again this year so next year I will do it again and continue my tax journey with another companies software.
