Had to copy and mail return due to an error when there was no error. I did the schedule again myself by hand as instructed and there was no error. Could have done the whole return myself and saved some money.

I found downloading to computer difficult as compared to a disc copy. Also had to phone turbo tax to input my activation code, They where very good about sending me a link to do this but a extra step not needed previously. Wanted to go back and make changes to income tax but after you get past a certain point in program I could not. Last years version I could go back any time.

I used to find TurboTax easier to use. Now I really don't understand the process and am worried that I forgot something. Plus it didn't let me see a comparison to last year until one of the final steps. My biggest gripe though is the cost of doing it online. I got a deal for the online version a few years ago and now TruboTax won't let me migrate my data back. At $40/ it's not much more to go to the guy across the street and have him do it. I'll likely do that next year unless the desktop version let's me import data from the previous yeat's online version.

I was not able to NETFILE my return because it produced CRA Result Code: 84 #561 related to the Canada Training Credit. Many other people seem to have reported this problem from previous years and it's still not fixed.

When I try to net file it says box 52 and box 53 on my T3 don't equal line 21. They clearly do add up to equal line 21 but there is no way to correct the error so I can't netfile. Extremely frustrating to say the least.

overall the process was very simple and intuitive however the main issues i kept running into was actually finishing and submitting my tax returns that kept me running in circles.

Turbo Tax is great and it was extremely easy to file my return, but I initially clicked on filing my taxes for free. So it was annoying at then end of all of it when I found out I was using Premier and had to pay. Not sure how I added Premier, and after I was done, there was no way to get rid of it. So while I love the software, it left me feeling like I got tricked into paying for Premier when I thought it was free (like it initially said).

Turbo Tax sent me repeated emails indicating they were already certified for the 2024 tax year with the CRA. I got through the entire process -- and paid Turbo Tax -- then found out I could not netfile with the CRA because some of their forms were locked for updating (i.e., not yet certified with the CRA for that tax year). In the future, please only sned out the promotional emails once you have that CRA certification. In addition, if you have a situation like this, it would be better to proactively email paid customers with filings pending, rather than forcing us to check back repeatedly over several days, just in case the form have been "unlocked".

The Turbo Tax software had errors when downloading our T4 slips etc from Revenue Canada. The no-charge advisors at TurboTax were great and helped me get around this by me manually entering the T4 slips that were downloaded. This error/bug cost me hours of lost time.

I have used TurboTax for many years but, this year they blew it! The one that applied for the Cnd GST rebate didn't get it but, my spouse did after I applied for it through TurboTax but, it doesn't show in my return. Then, the QC Solidarity Tax Credit was supposed to go to my spouse and neither one of us got it! I had filled out the Schd. D for it with TurboTax but, it doesn't show in my return either. Neither Canada nor Quebec received the necessary applications within our returns even though TurboTax had us fill out the forms online with our tax returns... unbelievable!! Now, neither CND or QC have what they need to disburse our rebates each quarter. Geez...thanx TurboTax. Now I have to make exhausting phone calls to each entity to correct TurboTax's errors. Thanks, again! They should really work on this issue for the rebates but otherwise, TurboTax is the only way to go. Hey! They did actually get it right in past years... I don't know what went wrong with their system this year but, what's done is done! And, I won't give up on them!

Don't use this if you're filing as a common law for the first time. We got absolutely flooded with offers and forced to upgrade to the point where we where paying for almost every feature and then on top of that it forces BOTH parties to the same version despite one of us not needing the advanced features, it also didn't assist or review before filing. Overall just a nightmare experience. We will be going to an in person service after this.

I’ve used Turbotax for many years and have previously found it easy to use and accurate. This year, however, was a disappointment. I was trying to do my taxes early and some of my t slips had not yet been submitted to Revenue Canada. So I had to go in twice to download them. Turbotax did not warn me that if I downloaded again from RC, some of my income would be double counted. In other words, Turbotax did not recognize and eliminate duplicates. This complicated my tax filing this year a lot.

I did my and my partner's tax return together. Inputted from CRA site. Turbo tax put my income tax paid amount on my partner's tax return and some arbitary number, I know not where from on my return. This meant according to Turbo tax we were getting a refund of all my tax paid, partner's tax and this arbitary amount. I was going to override it but I left it and Revenue Canada must have figured it out because we got the right amount back. No idea what that was about. Regarding CPP on the T4 slip entry there was no box 20, I had to enter in box 14, on the next screen it came up in box 20?

The software is mostly ok, but needs time saving enhancements. For example, I need to split a large number (over 300) of T5008 tax slips with my spouse. I need to go into each T5008 and manually split each one 50/50. And each time I split a T5008 the software takes me back to the top of the list instead of the next one on the list that I need to split. This is a painstaking process. It would be much easier to have one central function to split multiple (or all) T5008 slips in one action rather than doing them individually. There was no way to provide this feedback while using and completing my taxes on the software.

After using the CD version for many years, this one was so different. I do not like the fact that I cannot save it only on my USB. I do not like the fact that it saves in the Turbo Tax cloud. I also do not like that with this online version you cannot look at the taxes in 2 ways. I am used to seeing the form version as well as the easy fill in version. I like the form version because I find it easier to look up specific lines.

The purchase price was $39 but halfway through doing my taxes they blackmail me into buying the premium purchase, by not allowing me to proceed to the end. When I know the deluxe version should handle my taxes. That’s twice they have done that. Third time unlucky for Turbo Tax.

The Turbo-tax software made me overpay by $225 and now I have to fight with CRA to get it back (as they have credited my account). If I under pay I'm charged interest and receive a demand for such payment, but if I over pay (as in this case) they want to hold it for me.

So using Turbo Tax I thought I was getting a refund. Turns out I owed them $500, not the outcome I was expecting

After the income tax was filed, I wondered if we did recieve all the deductions we were entitiled too....age related and health related. For instance there was no place to enter mileage/ meals for appointments. This should be clearer.
