Long time user and it works for us. Continually getting more expensive. And I never did get the discount offered in an email. Have complained about this previously but never did get a response.

Lacking with changes
The 2023 tax year changed how work from home deductions are reported to the CRA. Turbo Tax tried to simplify the process too much and it does not match the CRA T777S form totals.

Constant upsells and lock in techniques
Been using TurboTax for years. It’s simple to use but feeling a bit upsold and locked-in now. I have simple taxes but need one feature from the premium package and as such had to pay a premium.
Feel your products are working to push everyone into a more expensive package each year and not actually help anyone more than before. I’ll try to take a bit of time next year to shop other products.

Dont like the new changes!
I have this program for many years but this year it went to web based with all my info stored on your servers instead of my computer. It wasnt as nice to use and I dont like it from a security stand point. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK...

Not a 100%
Did not meet 100% for accuracy! Could not contact the company to provide feedback to alert them to the two issues identified…still works but had to amend the filing directly with CRA. Should not have happened!

2023 version vs 2022
I was dismayed by my inability to get access to the forms Turbotax was filling in for me. I wanted to see whether everything Turbotax did made sense. It didn't always and I went through a lot of searching to set some things right.

The ability to import information from tax slips is handy but I think the product is overpriced, since the product will not let you use the base version if you have any investment income at all. If CRA did not penalize paper returns by hugely longer processing times, I would still be doing them that way.

Mac on line version
The on line version for Mac computers does not allow you to see the T1 form as you work the program. Very frustrating.

upgraded and paid more money
I was upgraded to Premium due to a T4A that was issued from the coop as we have shares. I paid way too much and wasnt able to change it despite several attempts

Good software, stop with the CONSTANT UPSELLING!!!
The software works, the constant upselling is annoying. If you become as expensive as an accountant, I'll just use a live accountant. The cost on a full suite would be insane!

Disappointed
I purchased my Turbo quik tax Premier from a retailer. when I attempted to enter my License Code, Intuit would not accept it. After 4 unsuccessful attempts and using the "help" function with no luck, I had to give my Credit card info to purchase online and file my taxes.

Good product, few errors but eventually worked
I am a loyal TurboTax user every year. My 2023 experience was annoying. The connection to CRA was problematic - it kept saying I was logged in to MyAccount, even after I was not even connected to CRA. Tried it in Chrome, Edge, Incognito - still the same message. Eventually it worked. TurboTax also seemed to think I was in America and I had to always choose Canada - why it would think that I have no idea so that was a bit annoying. I noticed also while using it this year, it would present all my screens in French but that fixed itself eventually so I have no idea why that was happening. Overall, I love the product but these issues were annoying so please fix them for 2024. I want you to know that I had the option to file for free in WealthSimple but chose to stay with TurboTax for 2023 out of a sense of loyalty but honestly, if I get these errors next year, I am going to say goodbye to TT and go with the zero cost WS option.

Full price not till end
Clicked on free but somehow it was $90 at the end for a $34 return. Not sure how it was "specialized" when the return was so small.

Provincial sign-in partner not available?
There was no provision on signing in to my CRA account with provincial partner when I started my return, so I had to manually entered the data which was time consuming, instead of Turbo Tax pulling them. And then I saw that it was available after I had already done all the work. Was the instruction not cleared? Or was the software not updated? How could this have had happened? I should have paid less for a lesser version of the software.

Foreign Income
Entering income earned from a foreign pension and the handling of exempt amount is confusing on this worksheet. The
FAQ and Chat assistant was useless. This has always been an issue with Turbo Tax and the Online version is more confusing than the cd version. I am looking at other software for next year as I have no confidence Intuit will address this issue.

Prefer the CD/Download version
I bought the Online version by mistake and opened it before I realized it didn't mean it was the Download version. Thought I'd give it a try since I couldn't return it. I definitely prefer the download version. And, now that I've finished my tax return, I just learned that I can't transfer this year's return to next year's return if I buy the Download version next year!! I will be calling to complain and to ask for a solution because I do not want to use the Online version again next year. I prefer to use the Forms directly rather than having to go through all their questions.

Discount offering
I was offered 40% discount for filing my taxes, till Apr 15. On completing my returns prior to that and being ready to pay for Turbotax services, I don't see the discount applied. I was ready with my returns on Apr 14 itself.
No changes were made post April 14th but the delay in filing the returns was mainly due to the discount not getting factored in to pay Turbotax.
On further researching for the discount, I found out an article on Turbotax Community, there was some system issue because of which, we had to fill in the webform to claim the discount.
This just cost me 40% of the fees for Turbotax. This is all in pursuant of working with busy schedules and opting for a premium service, so things can be easy for us and we save both time and the money.
Overall, I am happy with TurboTax filing, but honestly, it was an unsubstantiated effort that I had to put in for figuring out the discount process.

Could be easier to understand
Mostly good except confusing. while reviewing slips downloaded from CRA, TurboTax shows only one field from the slip and it may not even be a relevant one, so sometimes it shows 0.00 in the field selected. for example, the field displayed from the T4RSP is not the same one that has a non-zero value on my slip - this is perplexing and unhelpful.

Netfile is not successful
I filed tax returns for both me and my husband. My return netfiled successfully but my husband didn't. There is no reason for that, no information is incorrect. I tried 4 times in different days, as I originally thought it might be CRA issue. But turns out, it is not CRA issue. It is Turbotax glitch. Not happy with this experience.

What Happened?
I have happily used Turbo Tax for many years. I found the program this year, for 2023, to be very user UNfriendly and confusing. Trying to review individual forms was impossible until the final hour - right before finishing up. I truly hope to hear that the program is much better next year.

Could be better
Bought a deluxe online edition.
Activation code would not work!
Access to help to remedy this - not there.
Forced to purchase again to complete my wife and my returns.
Access to specific lines on returns was not available. Somewhat frustrating as a filer I want to have more access and ability to ask simple questions.

Pension Split Optimizer - Yikes!
Overall a good product, but be careful using the Pension Split optimizer, particularly when foreign tax credits are involved. Clearly can lead to sub-optimal results.
