Expensive
I had to pay 40$ for my 5$ capital gain and same package applied to my spouse regardless of she has T5 or not.

I just filed a tax return for a deceased person.
Nowhere that I could see was there a place to put in the date of their passing??????
I told turbotax that no RRSP cont. were made yet it kept telling me to correct an error regarding RRSP cont.
You keep asking us if we are Nisga'a or live on Nisga'a land.
Once that question is answered quit asking
Quit trying to trick people into upgrading to a more expensive and unnecessary program!!!

I felt i was being held hostage
i get more than half way through my taxes when Turbo Tax wouldn't let me proceed without up grading to a more expensive program. instead of $30 it ended up being $73 including sale tax, which is more than a senior can afford. I think this will be my last time using Turbo Tax.

Turbo Tax Premier
Extremely unhappy, bought the program at Costco and the activation code did not work. Had to pay again at the checkout in order to complete filing. No help online

Lack of transparency
Not happy with the lack of transparency for amounts like "other income" and the fact that Turbo Tax removed the ability to view/jump to a line number or Schedule in the forms - that was important. It took me hours to reverse engineer what was going into other income for example.

Confusing at times
Unable to find 'Forms' to see what was entered without going through lots of unnecessary pages. Help menu useless, for me anyway. Perhaps I needed to take the time to view the tutorial but once I went past that option, it did not seem to show up again.

can't see the actual return (T1)
In past years you could see the actual form (T1) to verify that all info was correctly imported . This product now won't allow that to happen as you are only allowed to see the so-called summary of deductions, investment income, etc. Definitely a step backward from previous years.

Don't like new version
I have used Turbo tax for many years. I found it a bit more confusing this year. I prefer when it just asks you to check off the documents you have instead of the questions. I didn't know what some of the forms were called and missed them. I also did not like that you can not go to forms view if you wanted to. That option is nice if you need to compare information that was entered and compare to previous years when trying to compare something.

feees are too high
For retired people like my wife and i that are over 75 years old your fees are too much for such simple tax returns.
Seniors should get a significant discount, you charge us way too much.

Disappointed
I have been doing my taxes with turbo tax for the past years and I was really satisfied until now. It now cost money even for a simple fiscal situation. I used to recommend Turbo tax, but now I won't.

Registration Troubles
Purchased Intuit Standard (do this each year) and entered my Licence code on my computer. I then went online to complete my taxes. Found out I needed premium (have not needed this before) and that if I have already entered my code on my computer I do not get any credit toward premium. Do not like being blindsided by additional fees nor getting credit for the code already purchased. Have been using the product for many, many years and this is disappointing. Tripled the cost of doing my 3 tax returns.

Access Code Malfunction
I was unable to activate my product purchased--the Access Code did not work. I could find no assistance with this issue online, only offers to have to pay more. I did appreciate the convenience of having everything prepopulated form the CRA, however.

Major ripoff, claims to do free returns. Did tax for elderly relatives and was charged an additional $20 + 40 + 80 plus tax. In addition, purchased original from retail outlet, turbo would not accept confirmation code so had to purchase online for an additional $80. WILL NOT BE USING THEM AGAIN.

Auto File doesn't work
I used the Auto File to download my T slips form CRA site and all data come in incorrectly. I had to delete that file and start a new one and input all data manually.

Constantly upselling
From the moment you log in, you are constantly bombarded with suggested upgrades or added features. I don't think half of them are based on anything to do with my actual tax return, but simply an attempt to get more $$ from people. Enough already!!

Premium Upgrade
I absolutely love how easy it is to use TurboTax, however I don't enjoy the fact they make you upgrade to the more expensive Premium version just because I have trusts.
Secondly, because I file with my husband and he uses the basic program Standard return but I need the Premium for my kids trusts, we both have to file with Premium making it more expensive than needed. Despite doing it together, we should have option to pay different fees.

unlikely to use again
Unable to view or print detailed return, only summary. Therefore unable to verify that Foreign Tax Credits were applied. Could not see depreciation calculations. On the phone over an hour, person was helpful but unable to resolve the problem. If you only want your filing copy without details product works well.

double purchase
This will get your taxes done, but the program isn't as easy to use as they like to think. If you need to return to previous pages to make changes, it's not intuitive and you're more likely to be forced to start your return from the beginning.
Downloading the program is not easy, I had to contact support for assistance after buying a licence and being unable to use it. I was told to file for a refund and purchase another licence. I did as I was instructed and paid more money, then received an email saying the refund could not be processed, case closed.
This is the last year I will be using these services, if you're a casual technology user, buyer beware. There's no room to make mistakes.
