Got charged twice
It says one can pay and then go back to check the return but it is not so.
When I came back from reviewing I could not netfile and had to pay again to send my return to CRA.
Also when I tried to enter a real cost on the T3 forms it was not accepted and every time I checked the amount was back to Zero as entered by the broker.

Some Issues
Impossible to return to "Other Investment Income Summary" screen without going back to T4 Income.
Turbotax missed some T3s under T3 Income. Luckily Turbotax provided a notification that we hadn't provided the country source of income so we were redirected back to these missing T3s.

Glitches
There has been glitches throughout the filing procedure and you got our 2019 numbers completely wrong by doubling them. Which happened in this years. Definitely there is something wrong. We could not use my Canadian Credit card that had an overseas address. We are deemed residents of Ontario, Canada. This has never happened before. We normally would have given 4 or 5 stars in any of the last 10 -15 years but this has been abysmal

Disappointed
I was more than disappointed this year, and I found that the online version was more difficult to navigate, especially if I wanted to go back and add a credit. It is not inherently obvious how to take those actions. I spent way too much time struggling with those issues.

Missed tax credit
I entered an amount in the political contribution area and the software did not include it in my return. The tax credit lost exceeded the cost of this software. I could not get any explanation from Turbotax as to why and how this happened.

On-Line vs Download
I love the downloaded version of Turbo tax and have used it for years, however, I dislike the online version which I mistakenly purchased in 2020, as several forms like T 2042 are hard to find and navigation often is misleading. Recommend highly the download versiondownload.

Difficult for foreign income.
Difficult to find where to claim US social security and ascertain whether it should be in US or CA dollars. Had to trust the software would claim the tax exempt amount.

Often Frustrating
Turbotax frustrated me. It denied access to all worksheets until after the tax return was fully complete and their fee paid. It automatically logged me out far too quickly, which happened far too often. Next year I will not use the online version of Turbotax.

Good features, but getting pricey
+ Easy to use click through navigation with help. Easier to use than any other tool on the market.

Disappointed
Details of specific forms cannot be viewed until after filing. Numbers appeared and we had no idea where they came from making it impossible to check. Wanted more detail behind each entry and what line it went to.

I found this version did not give me a clear picture of how my tax return was progressing. Having used intuit for many many years and found it very straightforward, this year it was rather confusing and took up much more time to complete..

Premier Turbo Tax
Found this year's tax return a somewhat frustrating and had to call for assistance with issues. Then, for some reason, I was charged double for the program and had to go thru a time consuming process to have the refund initiated. Processing my tax return was not as smooth as other years.

not near as friendly as I remembered
Used this software years ago for several years and found it easy to use and follow. But this year, I found it put stuff in automatically and then gave me warnings about it. I had no idea what to do to correct it. I went thru as best I could - and even when I filed it continued to give me additional info - but NO confirmation that it actually WAS filed!!! My angst level is HIGH

Needs a 5 year comparative summary
While the year over year comparison is great, I would really, really like to see a 5 year comparative summary just as a final review point. Would be a useful analytical for spotting any potential risk areas or other discrepancies. Been asking for this for the last few years in my posting filing review of TurboTax, but still haven't seen it yet.

Good ending - took some time though..
The second time that I tried to complete my tax return turned out great.
There was a lot of confusion the first time .
It all centered on my password and user name.
I tried so many times to sign in , with an agent ,that I timed out for that day.
The second try worked out very well.

Some bugs
I have used TurboTax for tax return for years. Every year I feel the company fixed some bugs from the previous year but also created some new issues. This year I can find all the area to fill in my information, but couldn't tell me at the end why I can't fill the return via NETFILE, although I checked the CRA website and still couldn't find the reason. Very disappointed and also found the software kept asking me to update the service is annoying. Next year I will try something new.

This year added T5008 auto download from CRA - and they showed I inputted "done with T5008" but at the end, although I checked several times, I could not see for sure if they were included. I will now call REv Canada to confirm not submitted properly.

i was pleased with the process except some tasks could be simpler: the taxpayer was 86 retired and collecting a pension-would they be contributing to an RSP? List of medical expenses is too short and subsequently the "Other category" is overused.

Printing of Tax return
In past years, we had the option to print off the return or individual forms of the return prior to filing with CRA.You took away that option for this tax year to my disgust. Also, why is TurboTax not filling out Schedule 3 Supplementary?? It hasn't done that in past years as well. This schedule provides a great summary of your transactions. and I miss it. It was always done when using the standalone version which I had used for years. If possible, I would like to be able to print copies of this schedule for the past 3 years. including 2019. Also, I would like to be able to print off my 2019 return that was filed. I would appreciate if you could get back to me on how to do this.

Autofill Glitch
Autofill does not overwrite existing T slip information if you access it more than once. If you go back in to update your information it simply adds onto your existing info forcing manual deletion of redundant T slips.

suggestion
ability, when looking at final tax reports, to click through certain lines and access the inputs (for ease of reconciliation) - instead of having to wait till the report is filed to access this breakdown at which point it's too late to make revisions or corrections

Discrepancy for Fees
When spouses are filing as a married couple, TurboTax should provide the option for which edition to use for each person instead of forcing both to use the same edition. (i.e. One spouse uses Premier and the other uses Standard, and the submission fees reflect this).

2013-2017 versions were better
I found this one to be more geared to ease of use for CRA not really the user of the software and helping find other tax credits that may have been missed , or explaining terminology, etc.. It was assumed, as if the user had always known how to do taxes. Also missed being able to see the actual TAX form, this was more like a questionaire and hard to go back to change anything. I didn't like this years version as compared to previous years. Sorry.

Automatically charges both returns under premium filing, although my wife's is the most basic filing. I don't mind paying 35$ for mine as it is more complicated, but 70$ for both is not ok.

Beware if you are a homemaker
If you file your taxes combined with a spouse even if your income is $0 you are forced to pay whatever level your spouse is on. I had to Pay $35 to file my $0 income. That is absolute crap.
